April 18, 20205 yr Here are a few that missed the Top 40 (and in some cases the Top 100 :( ) but were big hits on my personal chart in the 2000s and I still love listening to today: 9gnsWamIB4s Camera Obscura “Lloyd, I'm Ready To Be Heartbroken” Charted at: #124 (27.05.2006) rNTUAQ6F74k Johnny Boy “You Are The Generation That Bought More Shoes And You Get What You Deserve” Charted at: #50 (14.08.2004) JTTwlAT_AwU Ladytron “Destroy Everything You Touch” Charted at: #42 (01.10.2005) and at #158 (remix) (10.11.2007) ofRCldHb7X0 Friendly Fires “Jump In The Pool” Charted at: #100 (13.09.2008) and at #57 (re-issue) (09.05.2009) SLLlSDpdPdE Ou Est Le Swimming Pool “Dance The Way I Feel” Charted at: #110 (17.10.2009)
April 18, 20205 yr “Destroy Everything You Touch” what a song  BANGER. Could be a good Covid-19 anthem too... : P
April 18, 20205 yr The Feeling - Sewn Still a nice lengthy tune. Their other hit singles from the same album... don't sound great now. Better leave them in 2006. LOL Edited April 18, 20205 yr by All★bySmashMouth
April 19, 20205 yr I'm a huge corrs fan and they were huge back then, I have their greatest on and runaway is playing now
April 19, 20205 yr “Destroy Everything You Touch” what a song  Yeah! And we also got the Weebl And Bob parody Destroy Every Pie You Touch from it
April 19, 20205 yr Shuffle was in a 2009 mood today! I got: Basement Jaxx - Raindrops ~ kooky goodness <3 should’ve been a top 10 smash La Roux - Bulletproof ~ always preferred this to ‘In For The Kill’, love the Pitch Perfect mash-up with ‘Release Me’ too
April 23, 20205 yr Omg Release Me *.* I forgot about Agnes. Loved that back in the day. Yessss ‘Release Me’ is pop perfection  she brought out some great new music last year - I loved ‘I Trance’ in particular  Today’s shuffle 00s running tunes: Crazy Frog - Axel F (lmao) Lily Allen - Smile (I was obsessed with this at the time! Was a good one to slow down and walk to) Scouting For Girls - Elvis Ain’t Dead (The singles from this era have held up well for me) Wiley - Wearing My Rolex (BANGER *.*)
December 18, 20213 yr Sophie Ellis Bexter - Murder On The Dancefloor - absolute classic. Should've been #1 for weeks. No Doubt - Hey Baby. Banger. Remember buying this and Sophie at the time. Little Jackie - The World Should Revolve Around Me - such an infectious pop tune.
December 18, 20213 yr Jenny From The Block by Jennifer Lopez feat. Jadakiss and Styles P Clint Eastwood (Ed Case/Sweetie Irie Refix) by Gorillaz
December 19, 20213 yr I was recently reminded of this bop thanks to watching all of the Canada's Drag Race lip syncs LE3ZEPSW1j8 their story is kinda tragic ngl, they never got big outside of Canada, then one of their members left, and then it all spiraled from there
May 19, 20223 yr My mate has put on Sash's 'Raindrops' from 2008 recently and I've given them a couple of plays on Spotify. Totally didn't realise Molly our UK entrant was the singer and girl in the video or I did and forgot. Partly inspired by the fact I didn't follow the charts for a couple of years from 03-05 and will have only become aware of songs that I hadn't heard back then only now... what songs are you only just discovering now? smp3KFoH0AM a top 20 hit in 2004. Only charted with two songs in the top 40 overall. Also my mate has been playing this a handful of times recently too hence why it came to my attention. Will add some more soon.
January 12, 20232 yr I think the last chart-topper oldie for me that I didnt know already was AH Gold's Xmas fave from Air, Ce Matin La IQdMAzsj7Xc but Im always discovering old records I dont know, part of the joy of digging into back catalogue :yahoo: 2003/5? well these were my chart-toppers from stuff released then (it wont add up to 52 weeks, cos oldies top my charts too) so if you don't know any of them, might be worth a youtube.... 2003 Am I On Your Mind Oxygen/ Andrea Britten 2 Danger! January 12, 20232 yr I’ve never listened to solo Abba so that might be a good start for me with that Agnetha song and album!
January 12, 20232 yr A pleasant song by Agnetha, wasn't it a Cilla Black cover? I owned the Candee Jay album, she was basically the Alice Deejay sequel, the producers were the same but the vocalist was different.
January 13, 20232 yr Looking at the Stereophonics singles in the 00's and don't think I know this one but it sounds decent enough. fp1YL-CZqUc
