Jo, Bradley and Tina of S Club 7 have been touring for a while as a trio, performing the group's biggest hits, but tomorrow they're releasing a brand new single called Family, under the shortened name SC3.

The song is penned by Simon Ellis, who wrote Don't Stop Movin' and Never Had a Dream Come True, and was offered to the group during the 2014/15 reunion.

You can listen to a preview here: https://itunes.apple.com/au/album/family-fe...ngle/1321447515

The entire thing feels exceptionally low budget (as you'd expect really) but the song actually sounds rather pleasant from the preview! Certainly no Never Had a Dream Come True or Have You Ever or even close, but a nice enough song and not one that will taint their discography (not that more than 5 people are likely to know it exists :kink:). Jo sounds brilliant

Omg I saw S Club 3 live at uni in 2010 when they were Jo, Bradley and Paul.

Can’t see many going for this unless it’s the full 7 tbh.

S Club 3, man alive!

He has put on quite a bit of weight but otherwise hasn't changed, but Tina used to look AWFUL but now she looks good :o

Yeah I have no expectations of success for this, radio will obviously ignore and it doesn't feel very high profile. Nevertheless, I'm intrigued by the full thing!
It's being released under the label "SC3", so yeah, it's independent and that always ends well.
Why didn't they release new music when the full 7 reformed a few years ago? I remember their Children in Need performance generated quite a bit of buzz (not entirely for the right reasons) but 3/4 years later with less than half the group for this 'reunion' really screams of desperation.

I'd assume the other people in the group didn't want to release new music, especially when their reunion didn't do as well as the Steps one did (didn't they have trouble selling out their tour?)

they’d probably earn more money doing a charity collection box for an evening outside paddington station!
I couldn’t even make it through the clip.. I feel bad for them.

The Tina middle eight! Possibly the finest moment on record since her very own Fire.

Edit: I mean it's nice enough, Jo sounds largely decent and it's got a nice melody, but I'm surprised they're bothering with new material. The production inevitably lets it down, the basic synths reek of late 00s Clubland filler.

I like how no one has mentioned exactly WHAT charity this is even for yet.

I think it's a really nice song, pretty much what I said about the preview. By no means an S Club classic and far from their other ballads, but actually better than I'd have expected an S Club song to sound like in 2017.

Tina getting a whole verse while Bradley literally gets one line *.*

I guess those media reports just before the split about them hardly getting paid for being in the band were true! Plus the fact what they did get had to be split seven different ways...
I feel so bad for Paul and it sounds like the women on Loose Women should be shamed of themselves. :(
