The live lounge song really should’ve come this Friday rather than Thursday!

If it misses out it’ll feel like Born This Way all over again with the high sales at end of week getting a high debut.

Nice to see Captain Tom is still pretty high too. Can see it getting another week top 40 after this week too.

I just want the Weeknd to get an increase this week so that it gives it a shot either way at a fourth stint at #1. It's BY FAR my favourite number one in a very long time.

Since Robyn ;) methinks

Radio 1 have their work cut out for them if they want to push 'Times Like These' to #1 then - releasing on Thursday confirmed to have been a bad choice after all :kink: (still think it's possible they can push it more to get it the top spot but 5.3k is really nothing of a gap already so it'll be a lot harder than it was for Michael & Tom last week).

It will be slightly hilarious if Radio 1's charity single gets #1 on the Big Top 40 but not their own chart show though. Glad to see that Global aren't quite pathetic enough to have failed to acknowledge this song

is there gonna be another TV program like the one they did last Thursday to push the charity single? cos not sure if they can get such a big effect from only playing it on the radio shows

It actually could be!

I did very much enjoy Dance Monkey to be fair but not to the same level as Blinding Lights, it's certainly rare that there has been two #1s that I really enjoy in such 'quick' succession.

Really hope Live Lounge can stay at #1 - they need all the artists involved to start promoting it on all their socials, great to see Michael/Captain Tom still Top 3 and The 1975 Top 10 - hopefully Dua’s ‘Don’t Start Now’ gets well and truly booted out of the Top 10 this week although I’m not holding out much hope.

I can take or leave both songs but would like them to move lower down the chart now.

Given that Live Lounge was outselling The Weeknd by at least 8 to 1 on Friday and Saturday I'm surprised the margin is only 5.3k. I don't expect Tom to be Top 5 on Friday but do expect they will make another push midweek with his 100th birthday on Thursday

Was the original plan for the Live Lounge Allstars single to be released earlier during last week, with the Big Night In to give it a boost for #1, but got changed so it didn't prevent Captain Tom from reaching the top?

A large lead on iTunes doesn't necessarily translate into huge sales tho. You can see now the % on kworb is coming down quicker.

This has probably been asked already but when was the last time a charity song replaced another charity song at number one?

Band Aid 30 replaced Gareth Malone's All Star Choir in 2014.
