Yeah. I was thinking of perhaps 'The One That Got Away', 'California Gurls' or even 'Wide Awake' at this stage?

I think we could possibly go even safer, there's no need to throw out any big guns at Round 1. Maybe something like 'Roulette' that's considered great but wouldn't be in her "tops" to submit to an album track round?

I think 'Roulette' is too obscure / not loved enough. Katy has enough well-regarded singles to get her through.

 

'Waking Up in Vegas' perhaps?

Yeah, I've just trawled through the other forums and realised people are going in for Round 1 harder than I expected. Waking Up In Vegas sounds like a good shout for being liked but not in most people's top 5's etc.

Ooh yes! Actually WUIV could be the perfect single choice.

I think California Girls or Waking Up In Vegas are great choices, the latter actually came on shuffle for me the other day and I forgot how much of a bop it is! That whole album was incredible actually

WUIV is a cute choice (and in my personal top 3 from her so you can count on my vote :cool:) or Legendary Lovers which is more of a risk but probably ok for first round given only 3 out of 26 are leaving!

Yeah E.T actually held up better than I thought in last year’s ASFC final :lol: Waking Up... isn’t remembered amongst casual/non fans I thought, it’s always seemed quite forgotten to me but I wasn’t really following Katy at the time so y’all know best. I was thinking the lesser Teenage Dream singles, TOTGA or Wide Awake? This is How We Do is another one.

 

Peacock is probably her best known album track tbh :cheeseblock:

Um both of those songs are popular, especially TITGA, which cane top 3 on the latest survivor...

Agree with either of these two. I think cali gurls is a good shout too but could possibly be better used in a later round

"Waking Up In Vegas" seems to be a good choice in this round. I wouldn't be opposed if "The One That Got Away" or even "Harleys In Hawaii", in a lesser extent, are sent instead.

TOTGA came 3rd in the most recent survivor and no one likes Harleys :rofl:
