Hopefully it can grab a few sales over the week as casual fans become aware of it due to social media, it’s sold out at a lot of independent stores now.

 

Amazon still have the marble version and it’s currently #10 on their vinyl chart, 2 versions in stock at HMV with a limit of 2 copies per variant.

It could have a chance of doing another 1k.

I hoped the vinyl would sell around 5k or so in the U.K. so 6000 already is ace….and I’m thinking my two sales plus many more aren’t even included yet because of the delayed picture disc bundles.

Just imagine if they’ve been holding back a cassette bundle or something ….as they did with Disco…plus I lose track now of the Disco vinyls but there was initially standard black, blue and turquoise and then didn’t they release glow in the dark and marble versions during the release week?

I wouldn’t be against it but I’d be surprised if they had another vinyl tucked away - I think BMG are probably aware there is only so many vinyl variants they can push on collectors and fans that includes no new material, I mean 4 is pretty excessive as it is :lol:

 

Wouldn’t be surprised if we saw signed vinyl pop up at some point as it was an early rumour plus Kylie was seen holding a signed one on Instagram.

With having a really strong start the the midweeks i wonder will they fo anything throughout the week.

I've seen some complaints about the Impossible Princess artwork quality, and yes it actually is true that the vinyl image isn't actually the original full picture (the lights at the bottom are cropped). Though I still think it looks more than decent. Definitely a major improvement on the 2003 scan.

Being a stickler is like... you really want/expect something to be of a certain standard and if it's falls below that then it's disappointing. (Sorry if I'm explaining something that you already knew, I wasn't sure if this is a part of your query!)

 

Stephane Sednaoui is the photographer (and a former boyfriend of Kylie's)! Apparently he had the original files and submitted them, but instead BMG went ahead with the image sources they had located.

I think the whole picture thing was all too late on the day for BMG to do anything - they issued a mock version and there was uproar from fans over the quality, they obviously scrambled to find better images and also received the originals, it seems like it was a knee jerk from BMG following on from feedback and they probably had minimal time to resolve to met printing deadlines etc

Not that limited edition then if more have been put out haha.

That insta post with her signature doesn't reveal what version she's holding does it...i.e. marble, violet or orange....I agree though, 4 is enough. However, a cassette would definitely be a worthwhile addition.

 

I think if they done the cassette they would have needed it to be available with the vinyl, they probably missed a trick there as tgey would have sold a good few along with vinyl when people were ordering.

No, and the signed vinyl could be for anything to be honest - could have been for members of her team or a competition or something, hopeful something will appear though as her signature looks amazing on the cover.

Totally this - if they were going to do it they only would have worked if they included them in the pre-order bundles.

 

They know Kylie has a feverish collector fanbase and could have sold them, I also like the fact they haven’t totally rinsed us though with this release - they were probably aware Kylie Christmas was on its way and they are probably plotting the 40 variants of KM16 and need to make sure the fans coin is available for that :lol:

The vinyl is what we all wanted to we finally have it, cassettes etc are nice a great format but equally we would have got sucked in.

Kylie Minogue’s alt-pop opus Impossible Princess (5) which could re-enter thanks to a special 25th anniversary release. It originally peaked at Number 10 under the title Kylie Minogue.

From the OCC, so they’re acknowledging it’s a re-entry of the 1998 album. They could still be giving the two albums separate sales totals though.

 

The album is currently on 5,879, 2,530 sales ahead of a-ha at #6. Based on last weeks sales, Ed Sheeran will probably overtake and potentially Harry too, but other than it’s pretty much guaranteed for a new peak!
