It’s only just been added to Amazon in Australia today (The marbled version), seems they are just really delayed with advertising it.

 

 

It should hit Amazon UK this week then is its now an Amazon Australia, all the early signs looks good for demand so fingers crossed they can get more ready so they have enough on hand for everyone looking to order, do you think 3k would look safe for UK sales when released or is higher possible?

Kylie looks so young in those clips and i know its 25 years ago so she is bound to look alot younger than now but i think she looks particularly fresh and youthful in the did it again video.

Please note that due to demand, an additional limited run is being made and orders placed from 5th September 2022 will be dispatched at the end of November 2022 (date to be confirmed). Orders received prior to 5th September will be dispatched by 21st October.

 

The demand obviously took even them by surprise it seems! They’ve also restricted the picture disc to 1 per customer

They did! The bundles went when the picture disc was first shown to have sold out and then they never came back.

 

Now the Transparent Violet vinyl is sold out on the official store!

I really think despite having decent availability and multiple options they have been taken by surprise by the popularity of a 25 year old album that sold poorly on release, doesn’t contain any big hits and hasn’t been a massive success in the streaming era.

 

The Kylie fans waited so long for this so I’m pleased that it looks like it’s selling really well, it could hopefully lead to them investing some more time and effort into other potential vinyl re-releases.

Impossible Princess debuted and peaked at number 10 on the UK Albums Chart, making it the third highest debuting album of that week and Minogue's sixth top-10 entry.

 

It fell to number 22 the following week, and again to number 41, its final charting position was at number 70.

 

The album sold 20,000 copies in the first two weeks of release, just ten percent of the expected sales figures.

 

The album entered its fifth and final week, during the start of May 1998, at number 91.

 

In a similar run, the album charted at number 10 on the Scottish Albums Chart. Impossible Princess had sold 64,483 copies in the UK as of October 2020.

This indicates demand has exceeded all their expectations which is great news and it's good they will produce more.

That said, sales will be split across 2 different weeks which will result in a lower chart peak but could result in spending extra weeks on the chart.

So it's just slightly over silver now, shame it will probably never go gold as it deserves it.

Shame the sales will be split but I guess getting extra copies of the picture disc is a bonus anyway that wouldn’t have happened if the demand wasn’t there.

 

With the reaction from fans and the amount of vinyl variants they have produced they may aswell go the whole way now and throw out a few cassettes and a CD.

Apparently this comes from a Kylie biography from 2012, but surely no one would have expected it to sell 200,000 in 2 weeks? :lol:

Def should release cds and cassettes especially now they know there is demand for the album.

CDs are already out there though and they aren’t particularly selling… there’s a demand for the vinyl, I think they’re right to focus on what people actually want and get that right
