CDs are already out there though and they aren’t particularly selling… there’s a demand for the vinyl, I think they’re right to focus on what people actually want and get that right

The CD got a super low key reissue with a bonus disc and then was promptly discontinued but appears to have come back again (For a while it was a sought after release and was selling for around £35) - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Impossible-Princes...2C42&sr=8-2

If they have decided to publish the CD again they should add it to her website etc., as it contains additional content.

Yes they should add the cd to the site and also offer it as part of a bundle as im sure it would help it sell some. The vinyl is the big thing here though as its something i have wanted for so long like many other fans and im really happy to see the demand is really there for it as we have waited a long time for it. Ideally i would have liked for them to have been able to fulfill all the orders for the initial release as there is a possibility that IP could have made a top 10 return but a new chart peak is not the goal for them here i think its more getting it out there for the fans and make a few quid.

I would hope it will help give the album a little more exposure though that would help it pick up for a few extra sales here and there after the vinyl release. Its unlikely that it will never not be Kylies lowest selling studio album which is a huge shame as its up there with her best albums. When Ip was released it bombed and at the time it would be hard to imagine that 25 years later the vinyl version would be in such big demand and also at that time Kylie was written off and little did those writing her off expect the huge comeback that would hit in the next decade.

IP not only showed Kylie in a completely different way musically it showed her incredible resilience as an artist as many artists never manage to turn the tide when their career takes such a down turn, but for Kylie i think it helped her understand her place better in the market and maybe understand her fans better aswell. What i also find unique about IP is that as an album its so solid, i still enjoy the album and have always been a fan of it but equally i dont think another album like IP would have worked at all and i wouldn't have wanted it. It came at the right time for Kylie to express herself creatively and get it out of her system and put her back on the path to pop music which i think was what 99% of her fans wanted.

Once again as kylie prepares to release Impossible Princess we loose a member of the monarchy. I couldn't help think of that when the news broke about the passing of Queen Elizabeth (RIP).

That could be the case but hopefully more will go into production, its great to see that the vinyl in general seems to be selling really well on pre order alone.
Some Kind of Bliss is now on YouTube in HD!
Hopefully its the start of putting putting some further work into helping IP do aswell as it can with its upcoming release,
^^ Love that BMG are putting some effort into the release rather than just throwing out a vinyl - probably helps that they own the rights from the original release

Just clicked on the link and also spotted a review, look at this drivel of a review that someone posted

"This is the album that Kylie thought would make her hip and trendy but ultimately made her a bit of a joke. She tried to experiment with too many different styles and it became obvious she didn't know what she was doing. Some of the lyrics are a joke (Cowboy style with a peaceful smile you are from the temple... WHAT?). The collaborations with the Manics just don't work, and that's coming from someone who likes both Kylie and the Manics. It wasn't long after this that she finally accepted that she was made for pop music, and thank god she did. Don't buy this, buy the white Kylie Minogue album if you want some dance music that is a bit more credible, or buy Light Years or anything after that for some great pop that will get you on your feet"

I think they mean KM94 because they follow it by saying “ buy Light Years or anything after that” which would include Fever.
Yeah they definitely meant KM94. That review was written in 2005 by the way!

Great reaction to the album being added to Amazon

It’s currently #1 on the vinyl chart and #16 on the overall music chart :cheer:

Things are looking really good for this IP release, it's no surprise at all that it's a popular release it's just a shame they slightly misjudged the demand and won't have all orders available to ship on the one week but sales are sales whether its in one week or split weeks and IP should add 2 more weeks to it's chart life this way.
