Biography

Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Jarad Higgins would freestyle rap through his school hallways. As a teenager, he began recording as Juice WRLD (a nod to the 1992 film starring 2Pac) and set his eyes on stardom. “My biggest fear is not getting to the point I want to,” he told Apple Music in the documentary accompanying his 2018 Up Next campaign, “but that’s also my biggest strength.” His distinctive, genre-blending take on emo rap—Auto-Tuned vocals, hints of pop punk, and beats inspired by Chief Keef and Chicago drill—shines on the breakthrough singles “Lucid Dreams” and “All Girls Are the Same,” which plumbed grief and regret and heartbreak with alarming honesty. Just five months after his star-making debut project, Goodbye & Good Riddance, he released a full-length collaboration with Future that felt like a euphoric, decadent victory lap. His second full-length solo project, Death Race for Love, released in March 2019, continued to mine personal pain for maximum drama, while collaborations with BTS and Ellie Goulding exhibited his range. Juice WRLD passed away in Chicago in December 2019 at age 21. - iTunes

Biography

The 1975 are an English pop rock band originally from Wilmslow, Cheshire. The band are now based in Manchester, and consist of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Matthew Healy, lead guitarist Adam Hann, bassist Ross MacDonald, and drummer George Daniel.

The band's origins trace to their attendance at Wilmslow High School in Cheshire and playing together as teenagers in 2002. Gigs organised by a council worker led the band to formally sign with Dirty Hit and Polydor Records. The band opened for several major acts and released a series of extended plays (Facedown, Sex, Music for Cars, IV) throughout 2012 before releasing their self-titled debut album (2013), which included the popular singles "Sex", "Chocolate", and "Robbers" reaching number one in the United Kingdom.

Their second album, I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it (2016), reached number one in the US and UK. Following the touring cycle for the record, the band announced their third album under the working title of Music for Cars, before going on hiatus again throughout 2017.

Returning in 2018, the band announced that the album had evolved into their third campaign cycle, consisting of their third and fourth studio albums. The first, A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships (2018), was released to critical praise, and became their third number one album in the UK. The second, Notes on a Conditional Form, is set to be released on February 21, 2020. - Wikipedia

Biography

Travis Scott is the stage name of Jacques Webster, a Houston-born hip-hop artist and producer affiliated with Kanye West's GOOD Music and T.I.'s Grand Hustle. Scott has a heavily Auto-Tuned half-sung/half-rapped vocal style, and refers to himself as a singer rather than a rapper. He's produced or co-produced tracks by Kanye West, Rihanna, and Drake, and he's appeared on tracks by Jay-Z, Pusha T, Meek Mill, and numerous others. Within four years of his 2012 mainstream arrival, Scott attained platinum singles as a lead artist and songwriter/producer, as well as a pair of Top Five studio albums, the latter of which went to number one.

Scott grew up in a suburb of Houston and began making music as a teenager. He formed a duo called the Graduates with Chris Holloway, and they released an EP in 2009. The following year he formed another duo, the Classmates, with OG Chess. Scott produced the duo's two full-lengths, Buddy Rich and Cruis'n USA, and the duo broke up by the end of 2011. After dropping out of college, Scott moved to Los Angeles and began recording music on his own. He met T.I. and eventually Kanye West. Scott was hired as an in-house producer for GOOD Music, and appeared on the label's Cruel Summer compilation in 2012. Scott's debut, Owl Pharaoh, was originally scheduled to be released as a free mixtape in 2012, but as his profile grew (including a placement in XXL Magazine's Freshman Class of 2013), and due to sample clearance issues, the album wasn't released until May of 2013. Featuring guest appearances by T.I. and 2 Chainz (on the single "Upper Echelon") as well as Toro y Moi and Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, the mixtape eventually garnered a nomination for Best Mixtape at the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards.

The buildup to Scott's first proper studio album involved the Days Before Rodeo mixtape, promoted with the singles "Don't Play" and "Mamacita," and the March 2015 U.S. Rodeo Tour, for which Scott headlined, supported by Young Thug and Metro Boomin. Several of the dates sold out. During the same month, Rihanna's Scott-produced hit single "Bitch Better Have My Money" was released. "3500" and "Antidote" were released ahead of Rodeo, Scott's second full-length, which followed in September on Grand Hustle/Epic and debuted at number three on the Billboard 200. Toward the end of the year, "Antidote" peaked at number 16 on the Hot 100 and became Scott's first platinum single.

Chatter regarding a follow-up, along with numerous delays, ensued throughout much of 2016. Meanwhile, Scott extended his commercial presence with featured spots on Wiz Khalifa's "Bake Sale," Rihanna's "Woo," and Kanye West's "FML," as well as a collaboration with Young Thug and Quavo, "Pick Up the Phone," a mid-year hit issued as the lead single of Young Thug's JEFFERY. Three months later, after "Bitch Better Have My Money" earned a platinum certification, Scott's second proper album arrived. Titled Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, after one of Quavo's lines in "Pick Up the Phone," the woozy, mostly midtempo set featured that hit and contributions from the likes of André 3000, Kid Cudi, and Kendrick Lamar. It went straight to the top of the Billboard 200. Leading up to his third LP, Scott appeared on "Kelly Price" from Migos' Culture and on Drake's "Portland" from the More Life project. The latter track peaked within the Top Ten of the Hot 100, Scott's highest chart placement to date. In 2017 Scott dropped the hazy, Migos-esque single "Butterfly Effect" and Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho, a collaborative project with Quavo. - iTunes

Scott claiming that Sicko Mode re-entered because of the album. It was because of fortnite Scott, get it right. I do wish they didn’t skip the 1975 though

Not complaining about 'SICKO MODE' re-entering  one of my favourites to come out of 'ASTROWORLD' for sure <3

EDIT: I'm complaining about 'SICKO MODE' re-entering.

Edited by Jason

It's a shame Sicko Mode hasn't peaked higher than number 9, absolutely iconic track. Also first time for hearing the radio edit.

Biography

Blasting into the U.K. charts on the back of the summer anthem "Strike a Pose," Nottingham rap duo Young T & Bugsey built their brand on infectious fusions of hip-hop, Afro-bashment, and trap.

Meeting through mutual friends at the age of 15, rappers Young T (Rashard Tucker) and Bugsey (Doyin Julius) bonded over their shared interest in music, as budding musicians and supporters of Nottingham's local rap scene. The pair's signature style was forged at Nottingham's Community Recording Studios, a local charity that gave them the means to record in studio quality. Young T & Bugsey's first single came with 2015's "1st Quarter," though it was their second, "Glistenin'," that put their name on the map, racking up hundreds of thousands of digital streams. Continuing into the second half of the 2010s with singles including D-Block Europe collaboration "Favourite Girl" and the BPI-certified gold "Ay Caramba," the duo continued to grow their fan base organically, soon becoming a key "one to watch" in the U.K. rap scene.

Young T & Bugsey's critical moment arrived with the 2019 single "Strike a Pose"; with a charismatic feature from Manchester's Aitch, the single soared to the ninth spot on the U.K. charts, eventually landing a platinum sales certification from the BPI. Capitalizing on this colossal success, the duo enlisted Headie One for the anthemic "Don't Rush" before announcing their debut mixtape, Plead the 5th. Including collaborations with Morrison and Fredo, the 2020 tape continued the slick fusion of Afro-swing and rap on which they made their name. - iTunes
