On first listen it's an absolute banger. Love it just as much as Who I Am.

Yes Melanie. Give us what we want!

I have had it on repeat this morning.

It’s a banger !!

Love it !!

The video is out... it's very different for a Melanie C video  love all the little references to her past songs Going down, Too much, Goodbye, 2 become 1, Stupid game etc etc etc

I can really see the album being called Who I Am both the singles so far have had lots of references to Melanie through the ages.

Still don't think the song is as strong as Who I am however the chorus is totally stuck in my head!

Ah lovely, hopefully it can peak in the top 10 again like Who I am did... every little achievement and all that

3/3 this era, another wonderful song  The dark-dance-pop sound is always a winner *.*

Is Version Of Me anything like this era? I love Anymore but I’ve never delved into anything else from that era.

I think there’s a possibility that you’d like Escalator and Numb from Version of Me! Otherwise I’m not sure, the vibe of the album is quite downtempo even though it has electronic production... but there’s not many bops!

Not really, the album is more slow electronica Anymore is the most dance track on there I think. I still like the album a lot though personally, Escalator, Anymore, Something for the fire, Numb, Loving you better and Blame are all fantastic for me. Then Version of me, Room for love and Unravelling are great too. The only tracks I'm not keen on are Dear life (the opening track) and Out history.

'Version of Me' is a bit more chilled. But there are similarities with the types of sounds used.

I'd recommend 'Escalator', 'Version of Me' and 'Blame'. But 'Numb' is the closest thing to a dance track.

Thanks guys, I'm curious now. Will have to give a listen sometime x

I'd rank the songs as:

1. Who I Am

2. Blame It On Me

3. High Heels

See if you can spot three of the other Spice Girls and Natalie Imbruglia in Room for love (I personally think this one needs a bit more of a beat tbh)

Think Loving you better is my favourite album track, it's so smooth

That's a very enjoyable video! She's really pushing the boat out with her creativity in this era. As an artist she's coming across very refreshed and energised. She could very easily have stayed in the lane she was in, but it's clear she's feeling inspired and having fun with her music. It's great to see her like this, at this stage of her career!

She's had so many ho hum videos, I'm really glad she's been going the high-concept route for the last several. Looks like she's got a good collaborator in this director...someone who knows how to be creative with a limited budget.

I like the idea behind this one, and it's got some cute bits...but I still think there's a bit of missed opportunity. Certainly they could have had some fun with Melanie/Sam fighting in the office...wreaking havoc in such a dull environment...papers flying everywhere as typically-bored workers are jolted from their routine to watch the chaos in stunned silence. When I watched the first time...I thought this was the direction they were headed. But no. They used the office set for Melanie/Sam...but didn't really go anywhere with it? If the video were telling a story, the first two rounds probably should have been within the realm of the arcade game...and then the surprise be that they've been thrust into the real world to do their final battle in the office. Right? Or maybe I'm just really overthinking this.

Anyway. Song's fab. I'm into it.

Actually really good and strong song, I definitely prefer Who I Am but it's far superior to High Heels and 2nd banger in a row. Wonder when an album will be out
