Editing is also really weird. The girls' turn on Lemon this episode seemed to come totally from nowhere. The critiques of Jimbo "you've arrived" or something like that wasn't it? when she's been serving top-tier creative and hard-to-construct looks since day 1.

 

Agree re Rita. I like her, but we aren't seeing standout moments. Perhaps they're there, but it would be good to see them. We love a dominant performer tbh e.g. DeLa, Bianca, Alaska.

I do love Rita to bits but she was not the winner this week in any shape or form. I've never been so confused by a judging choice in all of Drag Race I think? It was Jimbo's to win or Scarlett if not her!

They are really pretty much only ranking the queens based on the runway. This is embarrassing.

Surely it's the opposite and they're ranking based on the challenge alone? Jimbo's (and Scarlett's?) runway was the only one not to receive any criticism at all, yet Rita did for parts of hers... and still won somehow.

I hope they keep Stacey as a judge for a second season. I honestly think she's been so good. She obviously cares and is never nasty - always constructive. You can also see how much fun she's having, especially during lip syncs. Brook is OK. I feel that she has good chemistry with Stacey, but Jeffery's opinion sometimes influences her own?

 

I think keep Stacey + Brook, replace Jeffery and have a guest judge every week - not guest host. Have Brook host.

Wait people actually disliked Lemon/Priyanka’s ad? It was honestly the only one I found funny.

 

BoA/Ilona were the correct bottom 2 but Ilona slayed that lipsync.

 

Also I’m so over Jeffrey as a judge.

It's kinda both, there's no consistency :lol: Like Lemon was bottom on this challenge solely for her outfit but then Rita was criticised and still won. I think the runway matters and should break things when it's close, like as much as I thought Lemon should have won Snatch Game, Jimbo's brillliant runway over Lemon's meh one when they both were excellent tipped it in Jimbo's favour. But when Rita clearly wasn't the best in the challenge and then she also wasn't anywhere near the best on the runway, that was just baffling!

Am I the only one who would kill to see Grimes judge an episode and queens lipsync to Kill V Maim / Flesh Without Blood?? (Those are probably the most sensible choices but Genesis / Oblivion / Delete Forever / Go are the ultimate dream)

There’s SO many incredible guest judges and lipsyncs they need tbh. I’m still waiting for Bjork one day I’d DIE for an It’s Oh So Quiet lipsync

That was a good episode & Brooke & JBC were finally bearable.

 

Flipside, judging or editing still weird. I didn't agree with Jimbo's critiques, Bobo's High came out of nowhere and imo Rita was better than a safe. I'd prob have given Bobo Low, Jimbo Safe & Rita High. Rita got a very good edit this episode that felt like setting up for a win potentially.

 

Pri would be the first winner to lipsync twice, no?

I feel like Priyanka was getting such a strong wonder edit at the start of the season but her performances and critiques have definitely gone down hill and I can’t see her catching up to Rita, Jimbo or Lemon at this stage.

The episode was fine but I feel like they should’ve shown more of the Q&A segment and had more interesting questions
