I think just having been a part of the forum since before the competition began would be sufficient enough, there may be people who don't like to post much but have been members for ages.

It seems :unsure: when members who have had an account for years with ≤100 posts suddenly come out of the woodwork too though. It's difficult to achieve a happy medium, but personally it feels counter-productive to prevent new members from participating (irrespective of whether they signed up because of this or not (at least not in a Joe-alias-type way lol)).

Actually she got 2 votes from that link and she got through by 1 vote so she wouldn't have done.

She did, but 2 votes also went to Harry and 1 to Charli..

one of those new voters was really weird cos he signed up and 9 minutes later he made his first post to vote in this

That is true and tallying up all the votes without those two she would still have been safe and got through... she would however have been behind Robbie and Harry would automatically have been out.

Nowhere in the rules did it state that other members couldn't promote the site or the contest on another forum/stan twitter/other various social media forms, in order to entice new members to join Buzzjack and participate in the fun with us. However, we appreciate and are fully aware of the implications that this may now lead to. With that being said, we have decided to go ahead with the tie-break with those 2 accounts votes accounted for, but going on with this competition we have decided to implement the new rule, which is:

*In order to participate in AF IDOL 2.0, a member must have 50+ posts to their account OR they must have an account that preceeds the contest announcement - 20th APRIL 2020 - (no matter how many posts they have - we wanna entice lurkers to join in the fun too)*
