Out in eighth place after scoring 40% of the total votes in the previous round is the Black Eyed Peas' futuristic bop 'Boom Boom Pow' which served as their comeback single after 4 years of no new music. The track spent two non-consecutive weeks at number one - which was a remarkable thing at the time! - and in turn became the Peas' second UK number one after 'Where is the Love?'. The song was an even bigger success in the States where it became the group's first ever #1 and topped the chart for 12 weeks before being dethroned by their follow-up 'I Gotta Feeling'. It is fair to say 2009 was BEP's year (and Gaga's of course). I have to say, I much prefer 'Boom Boom Pow' to IGF. It is the more interesting and unique song imo and there's not another #1 I can compare it to.

Going with Timbaland now but separating that top 6 will be a killer!

Boom boom pow is definitely better than I gotta feeling agreed but still rather tainted by overplay.

Sex on fire be gone with you.

'Maneater' unpopular opinion but I always found it to be a bit overrated and annoying at the time and still nowadays to be honest.

Although I did give it a spin on Spotify yesterday and like 'Umbrella' does sounds better as the years goes by!

Boom Boom Pow is one of my favourite BEP songs so a bit of a shame to see that go. Voting for Nelly Furtado again and probably will be doing so for a while still.
