Lucky Star!

The only song I don't like is Lucky Star which would no way get my vote. All the others are very likely to depending on competition and how many votes we get

I went for Oh Father, it's the only song that I know I'd vote for regardless of the competition.

It's between these for me:

 

Oh Father - if you want to be somewhat brave and expose people to a really great song that they might not have heard already - it could pay off beautifully, it could be a misfire

Living for Love - probably the song BuzzJack will be most familiar with... a safe choice, and a song I really enjoy - arguably the weaker of the 3 songs though. But does familiarity >>> quality?

Take a Bow - my personal favourite, one of her best vocal performances :heart:

I feel exactly the same between OF and LFL :lol:

 

GAHHH! I voted for LFL as it's the most recent and my personal fave, but I'm not sure what the general perception on it is? You have a lot of people who frequent and vote Madonna as Madonna fans, so I think OF will appeal to them regardless, whereas LFL may not, but will probably appeal more to casual voters! :drama:

My fear is that the people saying 'Living for Love' probably won't vote for it in the contest, whereas the fans of 'Oh Father' probably will.

 

Do the fans of 'Oh Father' also really like 'Take a Bow'?

Interesting at the amount of support for 'Oh Father', because it's her only '80s single I'm not at all familiar with (apart from buried relic 'Gambler' and whatever 'The Look Of Love' is).

 

I love 'Lucky Star' (which I voted) and 'Take A Bow', but they're not at the top of her discography for me so I can't guarantee my vote (but it looks likely based on what songs seem to be in the lead at the moment). 'Miles Away' is very nice too.

 

I never liked 'Living For Love' personally.

This is what I meant by 'Oh Father' being a vote that will more likely get all the die-hard Madonna fans to vote, but little casual interest (coz we don't TRULY know how many people listen to the playlists), whereas 'Living For Love' would be more likely to be the opposite! (Little die-hard Madonna fan votes but a broader casual vote - but I don't know how popular they all are on the board!)

 

'Oh Father' has potential to be one of those entries that's pulled off so nicely though.

It's so hard trying to second-guess the casual interest isn't it?! That's why I'm thinking just go with the die-hard fan option and what will be will be. I guess it'll offer an alternative to what the other AFs might be sending?

funnily Take a Bow is her biggest hit ever in the US, wasn't it #1 for like 7 weeks or something :D people must know it

I'm a casual fan and I'm 99% sure I'd vote for Living For Love! Loooooooove :cheeseblock: That's just me though.
