Finishing in fifth place is Kings of Leon's 2008 number one 'Sex On Fire'. The track was the band's breakthrough hit five years into their career and topped the UK chart for three weeks - succeeding Katy Perry's 'I Kissed a Girl' and preceding Pink's 'So What'. It is to date the band's only UK #1 although follow-up 'Use Somebody' managed to peak at #2. In the US it was a very different story with 'Use Somebody' managing to reach the top 5 while 'Sex On Fire' failed to miss the top 50 altogether! I love a bit of SOF and it felt like such an unexpected hit at the time. I can't think of many other cases where a band breaks into the mainstream four eras into their career. :thinking:

Yeah, it's got to be 'Maneater' which is just okay with the others being quite significantly better.

Was tempted to follow the crowd and go with Maneater in a vain attempt to save Anastacia again but I’ve gone with Fragma as it is my least favourite.

 

I would say it’s an amazing top 4 but it was already an amazing top 6 for me!
