July 11, 20204 yr surprised Hold my Hand is not top 10, easily her bet solo single looking at whats left, Rockabye and Rather Be are the best by miles
July 11, 20204 yr Completely agree with Jonjo's bottom three! I'd be happy with any of: Alarm, Ciao Adios, Rather Be, Rockabye or Don't Be So Hard on Yourself to win but I'd obviously prefer it to be an Anne-Marie track.
July 11, 20204 yr Author Really like "No Letting Go" The XYconstant remix in particular is wonderful! I was surprised by your score! Maybe I need that remix in my life to fully let 'Not Letting Go' blossom?
July 11, 20204 yr Then, Kill The Lights and Love Me Again are all absolutely FAB!!! The lipsync is actually the Jess Glynne-less version but still amazing
July 11, 20204 yr Not Letting Go sounds perfect for the summer, although I always found it a bit dated at the time! I don’t like how it feels very rigid in chorus - verse - chorus ie they don’t really blend with each other. I do really like it though! FRIENDS is one I probably shouldn’t like but it sounds great to me! Rumour Mill Top 10, we stan! :cheeseblock:
July 11, 20204 yr Songs like 'Hold My Hand' and especially 'All I Am' definitely do lack much in the way of personality, I get that criticism, but I still think that they are very good for the straightforward radio filler pop songs they are (HMH moreso, it's a shame that the endless corporate shilling of that song has lowered its popularity on here so much over the years, I still consider it one of her best songs, it finishing below 'I'll Be There' and 'Not Letting Go' here is pretty shocking!) 'These Days' on the other hand just took that overly safe and bland sound one step too far for me - I don't know if I'd have such great disdain for it if not for it being such an inexplicably massive hit but I'm pretty sure I remember finding it pretty exceptionally bland even when I first heard it. Glad that one missed the top half as well. 'Love Me Again' (the original version) I never remotely understood the love for on here, I think the Jess version improved it very slightly but it was still just sort of ok at best. Sticking up for Anne-Marie again I think 'Then' is also a little underrated here - I wish a song like that or 'Her' could actually become a hit for her if we have to put up with her at all. x With 'FRIENDS' thankfully just missing the cut (should be way, way lower but ah well xx), I like all but one of the top 10 songs - 'Ciao Adios' is another one of Anne's worst moments for me but I'm aware that's less of a popular opinion than all of my other Anne lowlights so not surprised to see it so high up, it'll probably be top 5 even. Agreeing that it'll most likely be an all Clean Bandit top 2 but fingers crossed for 'Don't Be So Hard On Yourself' to hopefully be the highest non-feature.
July 11, 20204 yr surprised Hold my Hand is not top 10, easily her bet solo single To be fair though, try flying with Jet2 and seeing if you haven't been driven insane by the song at the end of that flight.
July 11, 20204 yr I was surprised by your score! Maybe I need that remix in my life to fully let 'Not Letting Go' blossom? I'm sending it your way
July 11, 20204 yr Author Then, Kill The Lights and Love Me Again are all absolutely FAB!!! The lipsync is actually the Jess Glynne-less version but still amazing RPDR did not make any mistakes here! Any excuse for a lip sync to appear. I wonder if we'll get a Jess song on season two of the UK version? :o
July 11, 20204 yr I still think Hold My Hand's great - curse you Jet2 for forever associating yourself with it and ruining it for everyone else  All I Am and These Days deserved better too.
July 11, 20204 yr I only know of Jet2 through the constant mentions of HMH being spammed by them. I've been on a dozen holidays over the past 10 years and honestly have never registered their existence!
July 11, 20204 yr RPDR did not make any mistakes here! Any excuse for a lip sync to appear. I wonder if we'll get a Jess song on season two of the UK version? :o I was thinking about that- Jess and Anne-Marie are hardly gay icons like all the songs lipsynced to last series were from tbh so i’m hopeful the producers no better than to pick a song by one of them
July 11, 20204 yr 'Do It Right' was my favorite Anne-Marie discovery in this rate, out of the songs I hadn't heard! I'm glad it did well here. That's an impressive top 10, surprised but pleased to see 'Take Me Home' and 'Rumour Mill' in there!
July 12, 20204 yr Author Thank you for all the comments and participation so far guys! Definitely has made the work involved for the rate worth it and it's been fun to interact with all of youse! I'm going to push this back to start at 8pm tonight instead. Be there or be square :o
July 12, 20204 yr 'Karate', 'Alarm' & 'Rockabye' are literally the only songs by Anne-Marie that would be rated high had I rated. 'Trigger' is also quite decent but I think Jess just edge it with me as I like a couple more of hers compared to the number of Anne-Marie tracks. Having said that Jess hasn't really put out anything properly good since 'Take Me Home' That's an considerably solid top 10 though.. either of 'Rockabye' or 'Rather Be' to win and 'Alarm' ideally third!
July 12, 20204 yr Author Whilst your eagerly awaiting tonight's results, please enjoy this interlude of quen Anne-Marie teaching us some British slang  oDpXvcWVAQM
July 12, 20204 yr Author #10 - Rudimental feat. Anne-Marie & Will Heard 'Rumour Mill' (Avg. 6.703) High Scores: (10 - George.keh, Klumzee, Electroboy, Klaus, Dexton 9 - Lee, Davidson, Riser) Low Scores: (0 - T-Boy) W1IVP8R8jTs Ohmygah how did this make it to the top ten?? This snuck in very last minute thanks to Scene’s vote on deadline day. One of my personal favourites (only topped by Rather Be and Rockabye imo) and an underrated gem in both Rudimental and Anne-Marie’s discographies but I’m so glad Buzzjack saw some sense to rate this well! This is a chill mid-tempo bop where Anne-Marie and Will Heard dispel all the gossipers and vouch to carry on despite what the rumour mill says. The production takes on a deep-house sound but manages to stay so relaxed and keeps those classic Rudimental trumpets as well as pitched vocals. Anne-Marie and Will Heard’s voices blend together perfectly in this duet for a sleek well-made offering that screams drinks at dusk mood. I adore the way it builds throughout without ever fully going for it, always leaving you wanting more! This never made the top 40 in the UK charts yet it has managed to stay remembered and relevant.
