Over the last 5 years or so Jem Cooke has established herself as a name in house music. She has recorded with many producers, in many cases more than once. She continues to venture into new styles and she has been very active in the last few years recording vocals for a variety of songs. Her biggest song to date was a UK Top 40 hit single in 2018 with CamelPhat. Here are her dance features;

Cookies Way (with 4BeatClub)

Wide World (with Sweatshop Boys)

Wide World (with Sweatshop Boys)

Your Love (with Kate Simko)

One Time Game (with Jamie Jones, Kate Simko & London Electronic Orchestra)

Slowly Burning (with Cristoph)

Grip (with Disco Killerz & Sarah Charness)

Don’t Stop (with London Future)

Remember (with Made By Pete & Hilton Caswell)

Nobody But You (with Delta Heavy)

Run (with Wilkinson)

Love Is Here (with Ki Creighton)

Buggin’ (with Hot Since 82)

So Long (with Made By Pete & James Boore)

Modify Saturn (with Made By Pete & James Boore)

Commotion (with Friction)

Breathe (with CamelPhat & Cristoph)

Take Me Home (with Delta Heavy)

Drowning In Your Love (with Mason)

Hide U (with Nhan Solo & Dilby)

Swimmers (with Zero 7)

Colourblind (with Ki Creighton)

You Are The Light (with Hot Since 82)

Street Lights (with Hot Since 82)

Rabbit Hole (with CamelPhat)

Boomerang (Round And Round) (with DJ S.K.T.)

Which of her current dance features is your favourite?

Which dance producers would you like to see her feature with in the future?

The song that brought her to my attention in 2018 is the one I’ve rated highest here, plus a big fan of CamelPhat too. There are many other good songs in this list too and here is how I’ve rated them;

1. Breathe (with CamelPhat & Cristoph)
2. Boomerang (Round And Round) (with DJ S.K.T.)
3. Take Me Home (with Delta Heavy)
4. Rabbit Hole (with CamelPhat)
5. Buggin’ (with Hot Since 82)
6. Run (with Wilkinson)
7. Grip (with Disco Killerz & Sarah Charness)
8. Commotion (with Friction)
9. Slowly Burning (with Cristoph)
10. Wide World (with Sweatshop Boys)
11. Remember (with Made By Pete & Hilton Caswell)
12. Don’t Stop (with London Future)
13. Colourblind (with Ki Creighton)
14. Drowning In Your Love (with Mason)
15. Nobody But You (with Delta Heavy)
16. Street Lights (with Hot Since 82)
17. Swimmers (with Zero 7)
18. One Time Game (with Jamie Jones, Kate Simko & London Electronic Orchestra)
19. Your Love (with Kate Simko)
20. Hide U (with Nhan Solo & Dilby)
21. Love Is Here (with Ki Creighton)
22. Cookies Way (with 4BeatClub)
23. You Are The Light (with Hot Since 82)
24. Modify Saturn (with Made By Pete & James Boore)
25. So Long (with Made By Pete & James Boore)

I think going forward NOTD would be a good fit and so would Paul Woolford so I’m tipping Jem to work with either of those two artists in the future.

A lot of :o 's to go with these threads, is that inferring that you're surprised yourself to keep finding new content?

Breathe by default, don't know a single other one!

Round and Round. A bit more euphoric than the CamelPhat singles with her so I prefer it.
I think this poll series may have about run its course now :P not really sure what the value is of asking for a single choice out of 25 songs, of which there are maybe 5 or 6 that anyone will have heard (realistically a lot of people are only going to know 1 or 2).
  • 1 month later...

her latest collaboration: Damian Lazarus x Jem Cooke - Into The Sun (August 21, 2020 - Crosstown Rebels)
