It is in that it'll be Ole's first trophy with us which will break the duck and silence the doubters (as well as a guaranteed ticket to CL regardless of league position). What we do in the summer will determine how realistic the case is for going for the league next season.

More money?

United will have money to spend in the summer, they always do. As always it's about how they use the investment and what players they target. But they ain't get Haaland (no-one is this summer) and I do think for United to change in to a team actually wanting to challenge for the league they have to move away from counter attack to possession based. They don't have the players to be able to do that right now consistently well, but are not a million miles away. Just my personal opinion of course!

I would agree of course! But think they should have players to do this but just don’t for whatever reason. Like what’s happened to Van De Beek for example?

Obviously not cutting the mustard in training or something, whatever the reason Ole doesn't trust him in the big games. Past performances at previous clubs doesn't give anyone a right to just walk into a team, look at how garbage Werner & Havertz have been at Chelsea this season after tearing up Bundesliga.

Also his best position is where Fernandes plays and obviously he's not ousting him from the team. He's not very effective off the wing either.

I think we are overly harsh on players that come from different countries sometimes. Take Cancelo for example, he was total gash last season. There's been a few big signings this season which have not hit the heights they are capable of (Thiago with Liverpool is another). But we forget players take time to settle. Earlier in the season I thought Van de Beek looked really good, but then as time has gone on his confidence looks at an all time low. Still a good player, but the problem is he plays exactly the same role that Fernandes plays. Man Utd could switch up to a single pivot in midfield, which would allow Fernandes & VDB to play, but I don't think Fred or McTominay are good enough to play that role.

Good to see Leeds hold on at Chelsea on Sat, good chances at either end which could have gone in but getting a point out of that game is nothing to be ashamed of. Good result for Burnley in particular as well!
I don't know how West Ham scored 5 goals, 2 of those in their own net

Manchester City have announced that Sergio Aguero will leave at the end of the season. He hasn't been playing much this season but he will go down as a legend for that club and is probably their best player ever. His goal against QPR in 2012 will forever live in infamy amongst Man United supporters as well!

No surprise really, he wants one more massive contract and City won't pay it you suspect. I'll always remember him for providing me with a real laugh in May 2012! They're gonna be linked with Haaland every day now..

Yeh it was some moment in 2012, just unbelievable - Roy of the Rovers stuff. Loved Tyler’s commentary on Sky at the time - “City always the team to build you up just to let you down...but not this City this is the team that finds a way to win”

I remember laughing my head off when Fergie threw his chewing gum out and clearly said ‘f*** off’

I Just laughed and shouted ‘not this year whiskey nose’!!!

I remember watching the Tyler commentary. Thought he would lose his voice after that.

Amazing player, a pleasure to watch over the years.

Good six goal swing for Liverpool today!

Yes, an excellent result. I still feel Liverpool have left themselves too much to do to get Top 4, but certainly it is wide open now. All it takes is for Leicester to drop points in their next couple of games and they could be dragged back in to it too. Chelsea have an extremely difficult run-in so this puts a bit of pressure in them now too. I can't believe how bad Jorgino was today!

Silva wasn’t great either!!

I don't really get why they put him straight back in, he was clearly a little undercooked. That said, I did think he got a little bit unlucky with the second yellow card, I'm not sure too many refs would have given that!

For me it was a clear yellow no control in the tackle! Silva must hate West Brom lol!

The motd top 10 podcast is better than the main show these days!

Tyrone Mings is an awful player IMO. Nowhere near Premier League standard, let alone International standard.
