I really enjoyed the last 2 minutes or so of the Islet song but overall didn't think it was worth sitting through the first 5 minutes.

Nathan Ball - Right Place

Nathan Ball is a singer-songwriter from London, he's here to get the points for Harry.

28th with 43 points, so Nathan needs to get his sh*t together if if he wants Harry to get to top 25.

From our top 5 Harry voted only for Vandal Moon and with these 15 points Codeiric Diary is our winner! :cheer: :w00t: :cheer:

The battle for the top spots is not over though! Max Cooper is up to 7th and Essáy is back in the top 20.

Next up: Oh, we have a non-voter... who can THAT be?

I knew that RabbitFurCoat's entry was Islet as I bought their album on his recommendation when lockdown began. I think "Geese" works better in the context of the album rather than as a stand-alone track, but still good for a few points.

I knew you'd know it was me, but must admit didn't know how much you liked it, if at all.

I saw Islet at a very small Welsh festival last year and I absolutely loved them, a completely unique live experience. Started listening to them and I've really enjoyed their album 'Eyelet' from this year, and 'Geese' is easily my favourite thing on it. 'Clouds' is more accessible but I wasn't trying to do well, it's done about what I thought..

Right Place was one of my real discoveries from this contest, shame to see it so low down! Thanks Harry for pushing me back into the Top 10 for the moment as well :D

 Cody - looks like it probably wasn't as comfortable a lead as I expected it to be but Vandal Moon definitely stuck out to me as an overwhelming favourite to win and it is definitely the deserved winner for me, I was glad there was one song in here that I genuinely wanted to give more points than Another Sky (fwiw I was planning to knock Another Sky down to 2nd in favour of a discovery anyway if it had remained my favourite song but in the end it fell to 2nd in my votes naturally).

Thanks to Harry for a few more points too (and it's a shame your song isn't doing better although not too surprising for similar reasons to Matthew Frederick) - hope I can cling onto the top 20 here ~

Prince Rama - Bahia

'Bahia' was the first single from Prince Rama's 2016 album "Xtreme Now'.

After Summericia's DNQ with 'Fantasy' in BJSC XCII, Prince Rama does a lot better here, finishing 5th for Thom.

21 Gallant - Doesn't Matter Dobbo -20

19 Mik Artistik's Ego-Trip - Sweet Leaf Of The North Suedehead2

Thom Femenerkay gave 20 points to Vandal Moon, making 'Hurt' kind of a runaway winner.

The top 3 remains the same, but rewarding big points to Lawrence Rothman cost Thom the 4th place as Prince Rama slips back to 5th.

Orville Peck finishes in the top 10 (8th after tiebreak) and Solo Ansamblis gets back to the top 20 in the last second.

Dobbo is our non-voter, so Gallant gets a 20-point deduction, pushing Matthew Frederick in the top 30.

Thanks for the points Jupiter. Looks like I might have just avoided being a bottom after all.

Congrats again to our winner, Codeiric Diary!! :cheer: :w00t: :cheer:

Vandal Moon - Hurt - 211 points

Thanks a lot Everyone for participating, it was great fun!

Btw. 'Hurt' WAS a landslide winner, I had to do some magic to make the reveals a bit more exciting.

Hope my numbers were right-ish...

Scoreboard

Still no coveted top 10, which is a bit of a shame after I was as high as 4th not too long ago, but I'll happily take a new peak of 12th anyway :cheer:

Thanks for your great hosting Frank ^_^

11th is a bit of a shame but delighted to be so high after a slow start for Something Fleeting! Hurt is a brilliant winner as well, was top of my rankings after first listen but slipped a bit (it did mean I could give more points to songs that needed it more as well). Atomic Drum Assembly and Bahia both being Top 5 is great as well and signs my taste might actually be coming a little more mainstream :o (can I qualify in BJSC now please).

Disappointed to see Right Place so low as well as Laura Jones but that's how it goes - congrats again to Cody and thanks for a great contest Frank!

Yaaas at Top 10 for Orville - I’m as surprised as anyone else I’m a fan. Thanks for the 3 15s and the 20 in particular!

A great winner, well done Cody!

Glad some of my favourites (Little Jinder, Prince Rama, Orville Peck) got top 10 in the end.

I'm pretty pleased with 16th place for my first attempt too! I quickly realised it didn't really fit into any of the main categories (beep boop pop banger/instrumental thing/contains guitar) so I'm surprised by how high I ended up :-)

Thanks Frank for hosting!
