Take Shelter by Years and Years takes quite a drop too whilst Drown and Control are 2 notable climbers. I don’t know if this round had Lana oversaturation as all but 1 of her songs ends up here in the bottom 40 with Sad Girl no even managing to get over 10pts. 70 [65] Sanna Nielsen - Undo = 117pts 69 [60] Nicki Minaj - Anaconda = 118pts 68 [NE] Katy Perry – This Is How We Do = 119pts 67 [NE] David Guetta (feat. Jax Jones) - I Got U = 189pts Some quite big changes here with quite a number of songs dropping out from auto-qualifying for next year. A Sky Full of Stars, Stolen Dance and 2 on all side from their top 40 positions none of the songs really getting into contention this year. Whilst Eez-Eh really struggled this year and seemed to get most of its votes in the last 48 hours, it too drops from auto-qualifying for next year as does She Looks So Perfect. We also lose a number of dance songs from next years list as Hey Brother, Nobody to Love and I Got U fail to make it this year. Nobody and Love and I Got U finish 5pts behind 35th place and really the top 40 was changing quite a bit with each vote as things were close. The absolute dross that is Let it Go manages to some how climb 34 places and London Grammar also notches up a big climb for Hey Now, possibly the group releasing new material is helping them this year. Yellow Flicker Beat is the highest song to get a new nomination this year and finishes in 52nd place. I'm Not The Only One and Solo Dancing also reach big new highs this year and Ready for Your Love climbs 11 places into the top 50. So whilst some of the top 35 have been culled, what has made it…. Auto-Qualifying 35 [48] Wankelmut & Emma Louise - My Head Is A Jungle (MK Remix) = 194pts 34 [71] Vance Joy - Riptide = 195pts 33 [18] Ten Walls - Walking With Elephants = 195pts 32 [44] Lorde - Team = 197pts 31 [28] Magician (feat. Years & Years) - Sunlight = 199pts 30 [17] FAUL & Wad Ad vs. PNAU - Changes = 199pts 29 [10] Klingande - Jubel = 203pts 28 [37] Pitbull (feat. Charli XCX) - Fancy = 237pts 22 [19] Bombay Bicycle Club - Luna = 241pts 21 [13] Zhu - Faded = 245pts As shown with the drops in the previous section, some big changes are here for 2016! Ugly Heart and Jubel drop from the top 10 and out of the semi-finalist section to just inside the top 30, whilst Bullit, Luna, Faded, Changes and Walking With Elephants all also drop out of the semi-finalist section. Voting was actually quite close throughout the week and Walking With Elephants and Luna in particular were quite adrift until the last couple of days of voting when they shot back up and into the auto-qualifying zone. We also have some new faces in here this year as Fancy which just missed out last year climbs 16 places to safely qualify for next year whilst My Head is a Jungle, Timber Team and Shake It Off all enter from last years top 50. Shake It Off almost made it to the top 20, however the last few votes put pay to that. Meanwhile the biggest climb here is Riptide which climbs 37 places and into the qualification zone for next year! Some big changes here and almost with the semi-finalists too… Semi-Finals 20 [12] Ariana Grande (feat. The Weeknd) - Love Me Harder = 251pts 19 [27] Paloma Faith - Only Love Can Hurt Like This = 262pts 18 [53] George Ezra - Budapest = 262pts 17 [40] FKA Twigs - Two Weeks = 264pts 16 [31] Oliver Heldens & Becky Hill - Gecko (Overdrive) = 264pts 15 [20] Taylor Swift - Out of The Woods = 273pts 14 [26] Beyoncé (feat. Jay-Z) - Drunk in Love = 276pts 13 [07] Katy Perry (feat. Juicy J) - Dark Horse = 284pts 12 [09] Mr. Probz - Waves (Robin Schulz Remix) = 287pts 11 [39] Lana del Rey - West Coast = 296pts 10 [11] Lilly Wood and The Prick - Prayer In C (Robin Schulz Remix) = 316pts 09 [05] Kiesza - Hideaway = 317pts 08 [14] Ella Henderson - Ghost = 319pts 07 [29] HAIM - If I Could Change Your Mind = 323pts 06 [06] Tove Lo - Stay High (Habits) [Hippie Sabotage Remix] = 338pts Some big changes to the semi-finalist line up as Budapest, Two Weeks and West Coast all move from not even reaching the auto-qualifyers list last year to making the semi-finals this year. Budapest had an incredible run at the start and was top 5 for the first half of the week before it slowly drifted back, whilst Two Weeks gained just 12 votes, all of those were high placements which sees it climb 40-17. Lana was propping up the bottom 10 of 2016 in the votes, it seemed West Coast was the exception to the Lana rule for this year. Gecko, Drunk in Love, Only Love Can Hurt Like This and If I Could Change You Mind all move into the semi-finalists range too. The points in this section are quite close and HAIM had an extremely good run in the last couple of days of votes. Hideaway slips out of the finalists list whilst Katy Perry and Mr Probz also slip out of the top 10. Ghost climbs 6 places and was actually top 2 for the first part of the week, however the high votes weren’t sustained and in the end has to settle for the semi-finals again. Poor Tove Lo stalls once more in 6th place; it was top 5 a few votes from the end, however the song in 5th place gained more points from the last few votes and in the end finishes 14pts adrift from the finalists… Finalists 05 [03] Ariana Grande (feat. Zedd) - Break Free = 352pts 04 [01] Clean Bandit (feat. Jess Glynne) - Rather Be = 378pts 03 [16] Taylor Swift - Blank Space = 394pts 02 [04] Sia - Chandelier 404pts 01 [02] Katy B - Crying For No Reason = 406pts Now a big rise for Taylor to be an automatic finalist, however she was leading with Blank Space for the whole week until the last 2 votes whereupon she slid back and Katy B and Sia managed to overtake. Blank Space started extremely strongly and lead the way ahead of Chandelier and Crying for No Reason. Chandlier actually received the most votes of the round, however finishes in 2nd place behind Katy B who manages to clinch the top spot on fewer votes but higher rankings. Rather Be slides 3 places and actually was quite lowly for most of the opening vote however it recovered quite well as the vote went on. Meanwhile Break Free managed to climb into the top 5 after sitting in 6th/7th place for most of the week, however overall slips out of the top 3. Break Free starting strongly and finished strongly but it looked like it was going to the Semi-Finals for some of the week. No mass changes in the top 5… barring from the massive climb for Taylor. September 3, 20204 yr Blank Space :cheeseblock: Taylor snatching two automatic finalists now yasssss 😍🥰
September 3, 20204 yr Me giving 'Every Other Freckle' almost half its points :( one day y'all will realise how great it is -_- That 'West Coast' rise
September 3, 20204 yr HAIM, Lana, Beyoncé, twigs and George all climbing into the top 20 + Lorde getting another new AQ, we LOVE to see it *. Shame that 'Luna' narrowly missed out on getting another semi-final run but it's still doing pretty well for itself there ~
September 3, 20204 yr Both I Got U AND Nobody to Love missing the top 35 replaced by Iggy Azalea and Pitbull? Guys.....
September 5, 20204 yr Nice to see 'Lullaby' and 'Your Love' get solid points as songs that aren't usually in here and probably aren't often remembered. 'Stolen Dance', 'She Looks So Perfect' and 'Nobody To Love' losing their AQs  And 'Walking With Elephants', 'Changes' AND 'Jubel' (literally 3 of my top 5, alongside 2 mentioned above) dropping out of the top 20, wtf :snif: 'Team' and 'Timber' are strong replacements though. Wow at 'If I Could Change Your Mind' #7?! I loved them in 2013 but I never cared about that song at all (in fairness I probably haven't heard it in 5+ years now). WD Katy B.
