September 24, 20205 yr Objectively I can't see how Ava will hold on without a big last minute boost. Last Wednesday Pop Smoke had 5.1k and finished with 8.4k; this Wednesday he has 5.5k so is likely to end up close to 9k. Ava therefore needs another 2.5k in the last 2 days. She's doing well under 1k per day (she increased by 0.9k between Tuesday and Wednesday but I think that might have been slightly misleading as 2 days of data from some platforms were added at once) and I doubt she will have that many missing streaming sales.

If anything I feel like Pop Smoke is getting the late boost, almost all of his 9 tracks on the Spotify chart are increasing at the moment, What You Know Bout Love is piling on 10K more every day.
September 24, 20205 yr 4 weeks ago Pop Smoke was on 4.9k in the Wednesday mid with the same Tuesday data missing, and finished the week on 8.5k. By the same proportional increase from yesterday's 5.5k, I'd expect him to finish this week on 9.5k (and possibly more after taking those Spotify gains into account).
September 24, 20205 yr Either way, under 10k for a number 1 album is quite depressing...especially with streaming now included.
September 24, 20205 yr If Pop Smoke does make #1, it will surely be the lowest ‘selling’ album to make the top ever?
September 24, 20205 yr I think Ava could have done it if the label pulled out a few more tricks like 1k limited edition signed CDs etc. Unfortunate.
September 24, 20205 yr STREAM AND BUY HEAVEN & HELL!! She deserves more than Pop M! The album returned to #1 on iTunes UK. 5 days at #1.
September 24, 20205 yr Ava 'deserving #1 more' when this will definitely be her only week in the top 3 while it will be the 10th week in the top 3 for Pop Smoke
September 24, 20205 yr I don't even know who Pop Smoke is :cheeseblock: But then I've kinda given up with chart music in general now and only follow my faves, everyone else just washes over me! Come on Ava </3

In reality the charts are as good as finished. I miss the late 90s when it was still a massive deal. To only sell a couple of hundred physical copies to get to No1 says it all. Pop music has also been left to rot. Hopefully Ava proves it's not completely dead.
