Popular Everton song Spirit Of The Blues is heading for this week's Top 40 on the Official Singles Chart following a social media campaign by supporters.

 

The club's anthem, first released in 1985, is at Number 40 in today's sales flash (Sept. 29), vaulting 21 places from the previous day.

 

Everton supporters have flocked to the song following last Saturday's 2-1 victory away at Crystal Palace, which marked their third consecutive victory of the Premier League season under Carlo Ancelotti.

 

After their win, a social media movement was sparked by user FinKitch, leading fans to dub the 35-year-old song over a range of funny videos.

all that just cos of 3 consecutive wins? lol :D imagine if they win something important like the Premier League

Everton have decent fan base! Didn't deserve the 3 points on Saturday though, VAR ruined it for Palace.

I've now found out why Fish's album is not in the chart. It's not because he didn't register his shop with the OCC. As a completely independent artist,he is not eligible to be included in the chart. Here is the full article from the Prog magazine website:

It's so quaint that Fish and his wife have been packaging and labelling the pre-orders themselves. The album is very good and a great end to his career in music. I wish him a long and happy retirement.

that doesn't make sense, anybody can register wit the occ, it's not for big labels only.

there are many people charting without labels, even with pledge albums.
