September 29, 20205 yr I've now found out why Fish's album is not in the chart. It's not because he didn't register his shop with the OCC. As a completely independent artist,he is not eligible to be included in the chart. Here is the full article from the Prog magazine website: https://www.loudersound.com/news/fish-denie...for-weltschmerz It's so quaint that Fish and his wife have been packaging and labelling the pre-orders themselves. The album is very good and a great end to his career in music. I wish him a long and happy retirement. The article says he didn't 'distribute it through official channels' which I assume is referring to his website sales (i.e. it is because his shop isn't registered with the OCC). It's available on Spotify and iTunes etc. as well, there's no reason those sales wouldn't be counting as far as I'm aware. There definitely isn't a rule against independent releases charting.
September 29, 20205 yr Halsey has released the deluxe version of Manic, so I assume that'll re-enter on Friday!Â
September 29, 20205 yr It’s nice that Midnight Sky is coming for a new peak! Hopefully it can go top five following her Graham Norton performance, I blame spotify and Apple for minimal support for his not being the #1 we deserved
September 29, 20205 yr Great to see Michael Kiwanuka at 2 now! Â Royal Blood coming for that peak of 54 then

Yes,someone on the Marillion forum has now told me that Fish was asked about this on his 'Fish On Friday' podcast and he said it wasn't worth the trouble to get his shop registered so it looks like he just went along with the angle the journalist wanted to take with the article. September 30, 20205 yr Thought / hoped Everton might have done enough on iTunes to move up in today's update but looks like they've disappeared
September 30, 20205 yr Where is Ava today? Is she likely to stay top 20 on albums? #17 today. I'm inclined to say yes, she's 500 ahead of #21 and is selling at a similar rate to the albums around her, but who knows what missing data will be added come Friday.
September 30, 20205 yr Looking at the stats thread this will be the first week this year that I'll have had any form chart impact on both the number one single and album.
September 30, 20205 yr Where’s Heaven & Hell? #17 today. I'm inclined to say yes, she's 500 ahead of #21 and is selling at a similar rate to the albums around her, but who knows what missing data will be added come Friday.
September 30, 20205 yr Glad Ashnikko has made it in! I think she was at #48 or something in the Monday midweek so she's climbed well so hopefully she can stay come Friday. Also hoping Royal Blood can stay in the top 40. Good to see new peaks for Miley, Clean Bandit and Rudimental and the return of M.I.A. to the top 40 *.* Still a bit 'eh' about Tate McRae - it just feels a little drab to be a top 10 hit? Like I can see the appeal but it's doing way better than I'd have thought even with the TikTok boost. Comparing her to Billie Eilish is a disservice to Billie imo. Â
