maybe it’s just a difference in demographics.

I think whilst CGYOOMH is the bigger of the two songs, SOTME is not that far behind really.

Everybody I know, knows SOTME. If it’s played on a night out it pops OFF and I think either that or Black Magic have become really defining hits for them in the UK.

Totally disagree. CGYOOMH is in a completely different league to SOTME. It was a massive worldwide hit and was such an iconic song in the past 20 years. There is no comparison at all.

CGYOOMH was so much bigger than SOTME. The whole Glory Days era from Little Mix benefits massively from those couple of years where the streaming ratio for sales was laughable and any and every song was platinum or a million 'seller'.
If cant get you out if my head was released in the streaming era it would have been colossal, il always remember been so shocked that it sold over 300k on its first week which really only happened to winners of huge reality music tv shows such as x factor at the time or big charity singles.

I'll go out on a limb and still say it'll be Kylie! I predict a very tight race:

44k for Kylie

43k for Little Mix

Although my feeling that it would be Kylie proved to be right, I was quite far off getting the sales right! Under-estimating Kylie by almost 11k, and under-estimating Little Mix by almost 7k.

What about you guys? Were any of you close with your predictions?

I respectfully disagree. CGYOOMH is one of the defining songs of the last 20 years. The song and video are iconic. SOTME was a big hit but it's not comparable. It remains to be seen whether any of Little Mix's songs will have the same lasting impact as CGYOOMH.

You disagree , yet your argument then agrees, I said exactly that CGYOOMH was the biggest of the 2 but SOTME is the closest you gonna get to modern day equivalent:

I forgot to post my answers in here at the time but I said it'd be Kylie with 40-45k to Little Mix's 35-40k, so both were higher than I expected.

I voted 'Break Up Song' as my fave from the Little Mix album but that was before I heard 'Confetti' which I would now switch my answer to - slightly offended that has fewer votes than bloody 'Not A Pop Song'. Meanwhile I'm remaining in my hot take corner thinking 'Sweet Melody' is (pretty comfortably) the 2nd worst of the songs on that list. At least the right song won the Kylie section

Kylie actually did what I expected, I knew she would release 125 different vinyls and cassettes and people would buy them all, been saying that for months

when L Mix released Holiday, I thought they were in trouble. The song is awful and the initial reaction was bad, of course the label sent a lot of cash to Spotify and the single campaign got saved, but at that point I thought the album was gonna underperform. Of course then Sweet Melody happened and the campaign got back in track. So then I thought they were gonna do better but still not so close to 50K... only when someone wrote the pre-orders and they were super high I figured out it could be close with Kylie but never thought she could do close to 50K.

Avid lifelong collector here - I must have missed 112 formats then? She released 13 and LM released 13.

You say 13 like it isn't a ridiculous amount.

Not at all but there seems to be a notion that Kylie released 100 and LM released 2.

Everyone is at it and both Kylie and LM were no different, the upcoming Yungblud album has 20 versions so far

Calm down, we all get you’re a Kylie fan but the poster above only made a valid point that Kylie’s team would release multiple versions and a large amount of her fans would buy them all (Surely that shows as LM has way more streams because of the younger fanbase who don’t use CD’s / Vinyl etc...)

No one said she had any more than Little Mix, simply that her fans are more into physical formats so would buy them all.

Draining to read now, people are allowed an opinion!

Let’s not forget a big proportion of ones sold also went to the EBay sellers who are marking all the versions up by over 100%...

She got to #1 she’s had a #1 album in different decades it’s amazing, But surely the point of these forums is to discuss both positively and negatively about music.

Being told to calm down by the one who posted ‘it’s fine my tantrum is over’ during the midweeks lol:

Stay pressed

I’m not pressed at all, I was over it ages ago hence why I bought myself multiple copies of Kylie’s album.

Boring that everytime I check the topics you and one other can’t drop it.

Imagine wanting 20 formats of a YUNGBLUD album

Equally boring that -

Everytime I respond to someone you respond to me

Your constant tantrums and then you blame it on ‘I just say what I think’ but god forbid anyone else does the same

Go back to the mids, the chart battle was actually quite fun until you had a meltdown over LM

Glad you’ve bought multiple copies, enjoy Disco like the rest of the country have and ignore my posts
