The LM stans calling Kylie an old hag, editing tweets to make it look like Kylie has been homophonic and racist and claiming she hit a child - that was the first tweets under latest tweets that appeared when I searched ‘Little Mix Kylie’ just now - makes it even more amazing that she’s going to smash that #1 tomorrow

In fairness Kylie Fans have been ABSOLUTELY Disgusting too, so it's wrong to paint LM's fans out to be the only ones.

I've seen some absolutely disgusting things from either side, including a Kylie fan wishing LM dead.

I'm highly frustrated that they didn't make it just because of how everything's been since LM5 but Sweet Melody is smashing now and it's what they needed more than the #1 album was a single to start making waves.

i dont see why the OCC should change the rules especially since its a genuine purchase.

artists have the right to cater to their fans demands and multi-formatting has been around since the 70s so i dont see why it would change now...it will help record sales which r at an all time low and it will help keep more jobs alive...

Didn't whoever made the chart rules up back in the day do exactly this though. As I recall The Cure released something like 21 formats of the Pictures Of You single, many other artists did something similar also but I always remember this being citied as the reason why no more than 5 formats would count to the singles charts from then on, later reduced to 4. Always makes me smile the gloves are off again nowadays..and good luck to whoever makes number 1

Gosh it's like 5 twitter fans for each side. Stop making out its some huge fight. Most fans are happy and just going about their business. You all take social media too seriously. Why even get involved in such childish stuff. Those twitter handles could literally be anyone or anything.

The Kylie old hag comment is hilarious 🤣 she’s like the nicest pop star on the earth and deserves every bit of success 🥰

Is Blinding Lights still top 40?

How are the Christmas songs doing?

this isn't true. LM fans came for Kylie first, and they are mad for no reason, taking Kylie as nothing.

PS: It's disgusting, anyway. I'm really ashamed of all this insanity.

I agree with this, I've seen the odd tweet from either side - a fair amount of which I saw replying to RuPaul's promotion for Confetti angrily saying "why not Kylie?" but it is very much a minority and most people are just pushing hard for their own favourite of the two.

Not true it started when a Kylie fan reported a fan account who was raising funds for others to buy copies of Confetti..

Kylie fans all over Ru Pauls post

Kylie fans all over The Sun and Daily Mail articles about the EMA's and 'Making chart history on the Big top 40'

Kylie fans on the OCC post comparing the stats..

It's equally both sides, Don't agree with any of it like I've said but it's been pretty equal tbh.

:smoke:

Still interested in this tea tbh - they have raised over £7,000+ for the campaign with deposits of £1,000 a time yet all the LM fans are literally begging the girls to drop their prices so they can buy copies so can’t imagine them dropping 7k to a campaign.

Maybe RCA have used their marketing budget on this instead of promo and additional formats?

I don't really understand the point of a fund-me to buy an album? You can just stream the album for free?

I guess Ad Funded streaming versus a download or CD is a harder sale to achieve?

They are going hard today on a £7.49 download or something, if someone comes through with a 50k donation they might get that #1 after all

Yeah, I'm totally confused about that too! Who are the people that fund it and who are the people that then use those funds to make a purchase??

do we think sweet melody could keep climbing and end up number 1?

Tomorrow will be a moment for us pop music fans!

Dua hitting top 10 with her 5th single! Sweet Melody and Midnight Sky both getting their new peaks!

Kylie and Little Mix are at top 2!

Phew!!

I mean it’s hardly a shock people are vile to each other on Twitter is it? But I don’t see that as a justification for the animosity to feed into this thread.
Sweet Melody has wound up being a sound salvation for Little Mix fans who may well have been disappointed about them missing #1. The biggest take away, along with the fact they still push close to 50k for albums which in the current climate is very impressive, is them being able to get the 3rd song from their album to be only their third top 3 single in the last 5 years. A huge triumph!
On a separate note, if there's no big contender releasing this year (like Adele) I can see Michael Bublé snatching the Christmas #1 album. This year people are celebrating Christmas early (pretending this year isn't happening) and he is the King of the Christmas album.
