Posted November 9, 20204 yr Welcome to the Emoji Quiz! I'm going to give you 24 sets of emojis, and you have to guess the song or artist which they represent. Before the questions, here's some quick rules: - The answer to every question is either a song or artist which has been in the UK top 40 this year. Well, except one - but I'll come back to that in a minute... - The quiz is split into two rounds: Songs and Artists. In the Songs round, you'll get one point for correctly identifying the song title, and another point for naming the artist(s) involved. In the Artists round, you'll get one point for the artist's name, and another point for naming any of their top 40 hits this year. So each question is worth 2 points. - There's also another bonus points available if you can find the song or artist which didn't chart in the top 40. There is only one odd one out across the entire quiz, not one per round. [Note: if it's in the Artists round, you obviously won't be able to name any top 40 hits for them. Instead, name any top 100 hit they've had.] This means that in total, 50 points are available in this quiz. - Of course, emojis can mean a lot of different things - so I might award points if you manage to find another answer that works, but it'll have to be convincing and fit the criteria! Now, here's the emojis, featuring some terrible graphic design from me: Please submit your answers via this Google Form which also contains larger photos of each emoji set - it's easier for me to quickly look through the responses and also hopefully easier for you to see the emojis in more detail (which might be important for some questions!) But if you're having any problems with it, you can PM me your answers instead. Entries will close at 11pm on Sunday 15th November. Potentially I might be slightly lenient but please try to send your entries before then! If you've got any other questions (I've probably over-complicated this) feel free to ask on this thread or via PM. Good luck to everyone! November 9, 20204 yr Great quiz! I was actually thinking of doing something along these lines for my quiz, but I'm glad I left it to you.
November 10, 20204 yr Entered! Really enjoyed it! There were a couple I wasn't completely sure on but I'm pretty confident with how I've done :D Song number 3 took me way longer than it should have... Edited November 10, 20204 yr by M4NGO
November 11, 20204 yr I think all but #16 have been worked out now. But it took me a while to realise (hopefully) that the number of emojis does not necessarily mean the number of words in a song or artist name. I think I may just need to leave 16 because all I keep coming back to is Rose Owl Ear and nothing in the slightest rhymes or sounds like that so I’m just going to wait for the results to tell me who or what it was.
