Posted November 10, 20204 yr https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/b...in-need__31577/ Children in Need have announced a charity cover of Oasis' "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" as their single for this year - featuring quite a varied set of names  Bryan Adams Izzy Bizu Cher Clean Bandit Mel C Jamie Cullum Ella Eyre Paloma Faith Rebecca Ferguson Jess Glynne Sheku Kanneh-Mason Lenny Kravitz KSI Lauv Ava Max Kylie Minogue James Morrison Gregory Porter Nile Rodgers Jack Savoretti Jay Sean Anoushka Shankar Robbie Williams Yola Could it debut at #1 next week following the Live Lounge Allstars earlier this year?
November 10, 20204 yr Another number one to add to Jess Glynne’s collection!! Yeah, I think it’ll easily go number one considering the Radio 1 song sold a load earlier this year. Also, How did KSI end up on Radio 2?!
November 10, 20204 yr Hope for 20th Number 1 single for Robbie (incl. TT, of course) :) edit: my mistake - 19th. Edited November 10, 20204 yr by Better Man
November 10, 20204 yr Author What's the record for most charity singles at #1 in a year? And with LadBaby likely next month, that'll make 4
November 10, 20204 yr oh Mel C and Bryan Adams, hope they sing a bit together good initiative, hope they get the #1, think the R1 one involved bigger names though... good thing is the #1 on Spotify is not very strong at the moment, barely doing 400K a day, so theres hope
November 10, 20204 yr I was actually thinking earlier that they could have included Leona as she already knows the lyrics :D
November 10, 20204 yr What is KSI doing on this lol ~ I have a feeling this isn't going to attract enough attention to get the #1 (the back to back charity #1s earlier in the year were still early on in the pandemic, I think there'll be some level of 'fatigue' for this kind of thing by this point, and it just being another CIN single isn't as strong an emotional pull as the Tom Moore story / raising money for the NHS in a pandemic) but won't be too surprised if it does manage it anyway especially since the sales for #1 are pretty low at the moment. That moment when Kylie gets a #1 in 2020 while Little Mix couldn't, if it does get there :cheeseblock: x
November 10, 20204 yr I'm interested to see what Clean Bandit and KSI do on this track  also good to see Rebecca Ferguson's name on this track, such a unique voice which I haven't heard for a while! I have a feeling this will reach #1. It's a well loved song and charity singles usually have more of a market towards Christmas time. Plus everyone loves a bit of Children In Need. Ariana's positions will be on it's fourth week so not necessarily at it's strongest! I'd imagine it'd only take 50-60k to reach #1.
November 10, 20204 yr Maybe it'll be like Times Like These where everything's going fine and then KSI shows up halfway through for a rap solo.
November 10, 20204 yr is Clean Bandit on it? I thought it was only the cello (Grace) Edited November 10, 20204 yr by Bjork
November 10, 20204 yr Also, How did KSI end up on Radio 2?! The elevator stopped at the wrong floor when he was visiting BBC Radio studios.
November 10, 20204 yr Imagine telling someone a year ago Cher and KSI were going to be on a charity single together
November 10, 20204 yr This is out on Friday? Billie Eilish is probably the biggest competitor, alongside with Positions... And will Mood be on SCR again?
November 10, 20204 yr I don't think the remix of 'Mood' looks like it's done well enough to get the song back to SCR but not entirely sure. I forgot about Billie's single coming out this week, but she can hardly be assumed to necessarily be a #1 contender, depends on the song (it'll need to be something a little more widely appealing than 'my future' which I did like a lot but was never going to be a big hit).
November 10, 20204 yr is Clean Bandit on it? I thought it was only the cello (Grace) I'm thinking it'll be credited as "BBC Radio 2 Allstars + Clean Bandit Feat. Jess Glynne"
