Congrats to Ariana for another week at #1 :o (5 in total, right?)

Yes 5 in total if it stays there

Prisoner better not debut at #11

I’m sure BTS will fall down the charts as the week goes on! But double Miley / Dua in the top 10 this week *.*

BTS are challenging for first UK Official Number 1 single this week with Life Goes On. The South Korean group rank at Number 2 on today’s Official Chart: First Look, based on preliminary downloads and streams across the first two days of the chart tracking week.

Life Goes On is the most downloaded song of the week so far and has also amassed the most video streams over the last 48 hours. The track and its music video debuted on Friday (Nov. 20) to coincide with the release of the band’s new album BE the same day.

J-Hope, Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, RM, Suga and V have already achieved huge success on the UK’s Official Charts in 2020. BE’s lead single Dynamite became their highest-charting single to date, peaking at Number 3. They also conquered the Official Albums Chart for a second time in their careers this year when Map of the Soul: 7 went to Number 1 in February.

Leading overall by a narrow 600 chart sales and on track for a fifth week at Number 1 is Ariana Grande with Positions.

Miley Cyrus is heading for her seventh UK Top 10 single with Prisoner, in at Number 6. The track would also mark the 11th top flight single for featured artist Dua Lipa, who is also at Number 7 with Levitating, which is set for a new peak following her performance on The Graham Norton Show.

In at Number 10 midweek are Shawn Mendes & Justin Bieber with their collaboration Monster, taken from the former’s upcoming album Wonder. The first-time duet from the Canadian superstars could mark Shawn’s 7th UK Top 10 single and Justin’s 22nd.

It seems like every week there's a new threat to Ariana's #1. Sigh, here we go again, this chart **** is not easy!

Ariana doesn’t deserve 5 weeks at all with that bland song.

I’ve warmed to it but come on...5 weeks?!! :(

One of the driest Q4s ever, crazy that 40k is enough for No.1 at this time of year. Mariah really does stand a good chance this year if everyone is going more xmas mad than ever.
Ariana continuing to fend off all competition :cheeseblock: I wonder if that might be the case until the Christmas chart.

She’s 7/1 odds currently. And already #4 on Spotify. I’ve just put £25 on her! Plus with Xmas Day being a Friday this year, the Xmas songs will have huge streams in that week leading up to the chart day.

It's odd cause it doesn't seem a lack of releases, just that none are doing the numbers we'd expect! Maybe lockdown is having a major effect on streaming numbers and physical sales? Perhaps as people are more likely alone when listening to music they're listening to a wider range of music rather than the top hits of today and therefore the sales at the top are lower?
I actually think Mariah will be #1 well before Xmas

Good point because quiet frankly I listen to more 'old' music (90's and 00's) than newer hits!!

Same here especially if ‘Positions’ continues to lead with under 400k daily streams

I wonder if BTS will manage to hold up throughout the week.. Dynamite didn't so I don't expect this will, but we have to wait and see.

Great debut for Prisoner and I am shocked at The Pogues/Kirsty MacColl being higher than Mariah!

Yeah that’s what I was alluding to, I’m not sure she’ll be Xmas No.1, that will no doubt be LadBaby, but she probably only needs to sell the equivalent of 80k to get to No.1 one week in December.

I didn’t hear the First Look Chart today - did Mariah and the Pogues get played?
Sam rising again

i thought Justin & Shawn Mendes collaboration will peak a lot higher than Miley/Dua’s duet, given that it has performed way better worldwide.... Ariana’s song shouldn’t have stayed this long at number 1, its one of her weakest tracks...
