March 31, 20214 yr They have been really lucky indeed. I did think we'd struggle tonight against Poland. It could have been tired legs but we definitely faded and lost complete control of the game. I think a better team takes advantage of that, not sure we are good enough defensively to soak up a load of pressure.
March 31, 20214 yr And Lewandowski injured too!! What a win for Pandev!! I mean North Macedonia. Who says World Cup qualifiers are pointless, probably one of the greatest nights in their history. One of my best nights of the last decade for me was prob when Shane Long did the same for Ireland in 2015!

March 31, 20214 yr Timo Warner missed an open goal at 1-1 that literally any one of us could have scored. I’m not even exaggerating @1377356563158011904 German national team are galaxy braining it. They don’t have to deal with calls to boycott the Qatar WC if they don’t manage to qualify for it North Macedonia really deserved that win. They were the better side, played extremely well and attacked strongly as well as defended well. Their one major defensive error went unpunished because of that miss above. Germany could and should have done better for at least the first Macedonian goal

March 31, 20214 yr Author A lot of the big European sides have had some unconvincing results against poor to average teams in this last week. If I recall France drew with Ukraine Spain drew with Greece then just got out of jail against Georgia Germany lost to North Macedonia Belgium drew with Czech Republic No one is looking invincible come the Euros.

Only six 100% record remain: Armenia, Denmark, England, Italy, Sweden & Switzerland. Go on Armenia!

April 1, 20214 yr The Euros are going to be quite wide open. The only consistently good teams right now I'd say are England and Italy of the bigger nations. But anyone can beat anyone on their day, there's certainly not a clear cut team who are better than the rest. I still think Germany have the best team on paper, but for whatever reason Low has nosedived off a cliff. Steve - I didn't watch the U21s, but I've listened to a few commentaries. Only Boothroyd to blame really, so much talent in that team and he decides to leave some of his better players on the bench. Eze and Jones start today and they're excellent. A midfield duo of Skipp-Davies is even less sexy than Rice-Phillips.
