That’s insane, Ed will no way manage anything near that in three and a half days (if he is indeed releasing).

I wonder if he’s deliberately released midweek to ensure that he doesn’t get the #1?

Still seems like a very bizarre release date imo, next Monday would’ve made much more sense, even Christmas Day itself would’ve

Probably entering chart at #2, and potentially first #1 of 2021, I suppose I can deal with that instead of Whoopty, I can see The Kid LAROI missing out on a #1 track though if Ed sticks around for a few weeks.

If Ed didn't want to beat LadBaby to #1 then I don't get why he couldn't just release on Christmas Day or New Year's Day to avoid competing at all?
I was thinking Ed probably wouldn't have a chance even if he had released on Friday. Think this pretty much confirms that!

The Ladboy sales are crazy.

I know it is for Charity but its an awful song.

Ed Sheeran would to do a minimum of 110,000 to beat Ladboy.

The advantage of Mariah not been Number 1 is her chart decent won't be as severe.

Like I said yesterday, he'd already outsold Mariah's total from last week on Friday's sales alone so to think she still had a chance was stretching it a fair bit!

Yeah definitely number one already

No matter what you think of it, those are some pretty extraordinary sales that you don't see every day!

You used to see them as physical sales in days gone by, now they are barely ever seen...

Hoping this is the last year Lad Baby ruins music

I'd expect another year, if not two, to break the Beatles' record

In the past he said if he matches beatles and spice girls he wont release anymore, he could change his mind though
I think someone said that his announcement video for this single basically confirmed this will be the last time. (Of course he could go back on that but still).
He'll be tempted to try and beat the record next year then he'll quit challenging.

Did he say he didn't want to beat LadBaby to #1?

The LadBaby song's lead is somewhat shrinking on itunes at the moment but if he is that far ahead I am not sure it will matter that much.

This year is equaling the theee in a row of the Beatles and Spice Girls. Beatles then got a fourth number one in 1967 with Tom Jones in the middle of that sandwich with ‘Green Green Grass Of Home’

Surely people would start turning against him if he continues it though like the XF?

I thought ICU Liberty would have done better on the chart update given they were ahead of Justin Beiber/NHS Choir on itunes until yesterday iirc?

I don't think he will go for any more, but I don't think the ones who would "turn against him" are the people buying it now
