You stated how it was "truly impressive" and how I "conveniently forgot" about All Saints so I could "boast" about Spice Girls. I was actually not boasting about them at all I was simply saying they would join Spice Girls in having this record (and All Saints of course). Again when did I drag any other girl band? It was you who was dragging me and Spice Girls I simply stated the achievements of the girls I never once said anything about the other girls I didn't say that one of the other groups only performed in theatres or arenas and that what was "TRULY impressive" was to perform in a stadium. I simply did what you accused me of doing in the first place and "boasted" about Spice Girls. :teresa:

I really don't understand how my post caused the reaction it did.

And I can’t understand why my posts have riled you so. I just point out that the standard at which Little Mix and Spice Girls were being hailed impressive (no.1 in two decades) actually made All Saints look even more impressive because they had multiple. I don’t see how adding the word ‘truly’ makes that some sort of personal put down. And perhaps I could have used a better word than boasting but there seriously was no malice in it. Again, I’m not sure why you keep mentioning stadiums. This is all feeling a little bit silly when you could have ignored my remarks and perhaps contacted me in private if it was a massive issue.

It can stand to make all the difference if sales are very close! As of today's midweeks, Harry has sold 173 downloads and Dua has sold 208 downloads (35 copy difference). Dua is ahead of Harry in the midweeks by 9 sales.

Ok, perfect...thank you x

Yeah it annoys me that they are saying not to download because 900 copies is actually nothing...

Strongest streaming days are over the weekend, So a massive push for digital and physical they could have it easy especially with a discount to £4.99 on iTunes

Or maybe message the guy who stArted the campaign to get everyone to download sweet melody to post or something  but yeah 900 copies is nothing, they were just unlucky to clash with kylie

Monday's sales:

Taylor Swift - 1,190 sales

695 streaming

424 physicals

71 downloads

Little Mix - 1,018 sales [172 less than Taylor Swift]

640 streaming [55 less]

328 physicals [96 less]

50 downloads [21 less]

The overall sales so far:

Taylor Swift - 3,570 sales

2,149 streaming

1,118 physicals

303 downloads

Little Mix - 2,670 sales [900 less than Taylor Swift]

1,467 streaming [682 less]

1,062 physicals [56 less]

141 downloads [162 less]

Even though the sales are low all round, I feel like it would be quite difficult for Little Mix to overtake Taylor. At this point they've sold about three quarters of Taylor, who has been outpacing them daily.

Not really just needs them to push it and they would probably make up the difference if they tried
Taylor still increased the gap on Little Mix yesterday despite them having a notable jump. The gap doesn't LOOK big but that's because sales are so low, it's relatively sizeable and would require Little Mix to outsell Taylor by a significant amount. They're not even outselling her at all right now.

If by a "push" from their team you mean them putting out 2,000 limited edition/signed copies exclusive to the UK that will all ship by Thursday, then yes a push would do it. But it's clear thats not gonna happen. Outside of that it would take a miracle to overcome a 900 sales deficit when the person you need to pass is beating you on every platform and you've sold less than 3,000 copies over the first half of the week.

I love Little Mix and I'm very happy it looks like they're gonna get the #1 for Sweet Melody. I wish their team would've had the foresight to realize that album sales would be low in January and they could get an easy week in at #1 but it doesn't seem like they did so I'm not gonna hold my breath for it.

They could probably feasibly organise a 'push' for #1 next week but I agree it's unlikely they'd be able to get there this week.

They’d do it easy!

If they promoted a mass download spree...

Sales are so low but if you look at the numbers it’s all streams so a mass purchasing and download campaign would eat into the numbers so quickly.

I still think it would have been possible as streaming numbers are highest at the weekend.

If you think about it 50 downloads is shocking given there’s what 69 million people In the UK

Artists can’t be making anything at the moment with no tours

If selling 1k copies is "easy", why don't artist do it every week? It is not easy to sell, and now I mean really SELL, 1k copies week after week when general public don't really buy albums.

also a fan campaign for a single is easier, anyone can spend 59p for a song but for a whole album they sure own already it's a lot of money

not sure if everybody can throw 10 pounds away in these days

what would work for sure is the thing Lewis was doing, what was he finding every week? like test pressing of the album or something. Too late for this week, but sure would work if you put a limited release one week to give you an extra push.

By 'multiple' you mean two  ... literally one more when in actual fact Spice Girls (and so far Little Mix) didn't / haven't released anything else in the second decade.

Again you were the one who said "what is actually impressive" putting me and the girls down accusing me of 'conveniently forgetting' so I could 'boast' about my faves, so let's stop pretending you were simply pointing it out and not being rude and insulting. Maybe you should have contacted me privately and said oh you forgot All Saints, or even just posted publicly "actually All Saints also did this, they had 3 in the 90's and 2 in the 00's."

I was actually hyping Little Mix and I don't see the reason to have been called out as boasting or hyping up my faves or conveniently forgetting about other girl bands simple as that.

If you actually read my comment properly you'd realise I was talking about a 3pm push like they did with the single.

I wasn't talking in general terms, I still think they could of definitely closed the gap by some margin with a proper 3pm campaign today as planned..

At least it would of secured them the number 2 for definite.

But people were buying 16 versions at 59p, The majority of people were buying multiple copies and the albums reduced to £4.99 on Amazon and HMV so I don't think it would have been that hard, especially if we had a reduction to £4.99 on itunes and Amazon.

The albums climbed on Apple, Went top 10 on iTunes with the expanded at 26, Amazon digital climbed from not being in the top 100 to 9 (Currently) and 23 for the expanded and the physical on Amazon climbed to 10.

I still think with a big push like they did with the single they would have done it easy with the exposure from the single campaign.

I agree, but it would have had to be a planned push with some TV promotion / performances etc and I guess none of them saw this coming.

Shame about the low sales in the singles but hopefully Little Mix's download push can get them to around 30k at least.

It's actually looking like a pretty good and fresh Top 10. For me the only slight duds are Ariana and Ed and even they're OK.

Much as I disliked much of his output from last year, Anyone sounds really good and so hopefully Justin can go to #1 and keep Ed away in the coming weeks.

If there wasn’t a pandemic going on, I’d advise you to go outside. I was simply pointing out facts and you are taking it way too personally and seem to be going out of your way to belittle All Saints whilst claiming not to. I’m not even an All Saints fan, I don’t even dislike Spice Girls but it feels now like you’re taking it too personally and getting personal about me also so I’d rather you just stopped addressing me. I have no agenda to do the Spice Girls down.
