January 14, 20214 yr Yes, of course, good job Boris does though cos he is a right laugh! Get in the sea. Nooooo...I can't swim. :o
January 14, 20214 yr Ah, yes, the Tories are all to blame for the people who think they are above everyone else and don't bother following rules. We've seen with this pandemic that many are unable to go without drink and drugs for any length of time, which has contributed to the virus being spread as addicts have found other ways to get their fix. And because they are so junked up they can't follow social distancing guidelines even if they wanted to. Instead of wearing face masks in shops, some individuals have gone without because in the event of them being asked to put on a mask they can say they have breathing problems and not be challenged on it. "A love ma turkey dinner" was the latest cry as people mingled with various members of their family for Christmas, not one of them knowing if they have the virus or not ("but a don't huv symptoms..."). Brilliant. 10 more people get infected. A Labour government would have made absolutely no difference to the situation as these degenerates exist no matter what. Excellent post. Agree with all that.
January 14, 20214 yr Anyway, we've just gone horrendously off-topic so please can we take the discussion on COVID-19 to the relevant thread.

I have only ever heard Tories disparage people like that... How unbelievably rude. The fact is it was the TORIES who flauted their own rules, irreparably damaging public trust in anti-Covid measures and creating an us and them pandemic. It was the Tories who dithered ovee the virus and toyed with the far right Demonic Cumming's approach of herd immunity, ignoring the plight of the elderly and the vulnerable. The government, assisted by its state media propaganda channels, then worked overtime to convince everyone that it was the PUBLIC'S fault the virus got out of control and lockdown broke, rather than the government's failings, inaction and us and them approach. You have fallen for that propaganda.

January 14, 20214 yr The managing director of the company providing the meals is Charlie Brown. Perhaps that explains why they have provided peanuts. :basil:
January 14, 20214 yr So England are not providing for free school meals families during the Feb half term. They just had to announce that this week of all weeks.

January 14, 20214 yr So England are not providing for free school meals families during the Feb half term. They just had to announce that this week of all weeks. This is just a massive headache, because we're going to go around in circles. They'll receive pressure from Marcus and the GP again and they'll reverse it, but it'll just be more weeks of low income families not knowing where they stand during the next half term it's sick man.
January 14, 20214 yr I give it a few weeks before they reverse that decision. I was gonna say days to be honest. I mean, I know they’re horrible people, I know they don’t care about the poor but they must be incredibly thick if they think they won’t end up u-turning on this one.
January 14, 20214 yr You just KNOW they will spin this around to try and make themselves look like they are listening to the public or whatever bullshit it will be at a later point. Any bets of which Tory-owned distribution company will be in charge of that? :)
January 14, 20214 yr Well yes, they are. They didn't implement restrictions quick enough and then they themselves spent a good few weeks breaking their own rules. So YES, they are completely to blame. Giving us mixed rules, not enforcing masks in public spaces, allowing anti-maskers to roam freely spouting their nonsense, it is completely their fault. Perhaps if Torys didn't slash mental health budgets and put effort into rehabilitation these people would be more stable, too bad 10 years of Tory cuts have just completely decimated our mental health service. Again, perhaps if they made it LAW to wear one. The "exemption" rule is FAR too loose. These things are all the torys fault, not sure what you are trying to say here? These "degenerates" have been enabled by a BAD government with an absolute bumbling fool for a leader who can't even get through a coherent press conference. Labour would have done FAR better. FAR better with Jeremy as PM in this situation, even if people did break the rules, he at least had a heart and he conveyed it well that he genuinely cared, not telling people that we should be prepared for death. Not mixing his own rules up in a press conference. Anymore? Tories completely to blame? Do one. Millions of people have broken rules but of course it isn't public so it doesn't matter. Consecutive governments, Tory or otherwise, have failed people but the fact is that many of these cases highlight historic abuse of the system, i.e. the same families have got wasted, lived off benefits, leaving everyone else to deal with the costs, both emotional and financial for their behaviour. Degenerates aren't confused by rules. Do they know drugs are illegal? Yes. Do they know if they have asthma or not? Yes. Do they know people with the virus can be asymptomatic? Yes. Why don't they adhere to rules (and laws in general) then? Because they are selfish and ego-driven halfwits, in some cases psychopaths.

Regarding the point about the drug addicts, the Belfast homeless sector and rough sleeping figures show that there has thankfully been no Covid outbreak to add to their problems. But your right they do live off their own rules in life and don’t follow the rules we all have to.

Any... you know... data to show how people who partake in drug consumption (thank you for calling them 'people' before stereotyping and villainising one of the most vulnerable and easy to blame groups though  ) are so influential in the spread that they got their own paragraph?
January 15, 20214 yr Tories completely to blame? Do one. Sorry, but the moment Cummings did what he did and wasn't sacked for it was the moment a lot of people stopped taking it seriously and being lax with their compliance. It's an undeniable fact, whether you like it or not. The gravity of that situation being the individual who actually WROTE the rules of lockdown for the nation then then broke them himself, on multiple occasions.

You're a flamebaiter so this is the only reply you'll get. It stands to reason that people with drink and drug problems will not heed to rules such is the extent of their addictions. You will have heard about house parties being broken up by police - considering that these are just a tiny proportion of the number of unlawful social gatherings nationwide, it's clear to see what has contributed to the spread of the virus. Whether it's substance abuse or not, there are people who do not want to conform with society. They get a kick out of breaking rules. They know what they are doing. To suggest otherwise and to mollycoddle them is downright laughable - and dangerous. I haven't said people stopped doing anything because of others but it's incorrect to say it's ONLY the Tories that have broken rules. In Scotland, the Chief Medical Officer was found to have breached guidelines, as too was an MP who represents the Scottish National Party. Tory? Final point, if the Great British public who have been referenced many times in this thread are susceptible to the actions of others and think they are above the likes of Cummings, what's stopping them from actually following rules and helping to get the country back to normality quickly in spite of the government? The fact that some have chosen to break rules because "that big bad man broke them so why can't I?" proves that normal people are culpable. It may be more comforting and cool, anti-establishment-like to blame the Tories but it doesn't change that fact.
January 15, 20214 yr *represented Unlike when a Tory is caught breaking the rules the SNP MP was thrown out the party - they cannot sack her only the people can - and the Scottish CMO went as well. That I believe is the point being made. Tories break the rules and face no consequences.

I knew you hating the Kunts selling well was all about you being a massive Tory supporter. Cummings didn’t just break the rules, he did not resign and refused to apologise or even say he regretted his actions. He wasted time setting up a press conference never heard of for someone in his position so that he could make up ridiculous stories about what happened in order to cover his back. He’d even had every minister basically state how proud they were of him for breaking the rules. I really didn’t notice the SNP Chief Medical Officer doing ANY of that. And yes, people do have to take responsibility for their own actions but let’s not absolve this awful party of theirs. This government were adamant the schools needed to be running as usual, even when it became clear that this was not a good idea last December and even threatened a local authority with legal action for safeguarding students and staff. Schools is a place where people from many different households were mixing for a solid four months, following government instructions. You can’t blame spread on drinkers and people with issues with substance abuse when there was so much opportunity for the virus to spread within the rules.
