Off we go and finishing in last place is the big ballad from the album My Love Won't Let You Down.
This song has only just started to hit me. It took Jesy leaving, for it to hit me. It's a lovely song, but the thing that bugs me on this is the vocal production.
I think it's so overly processed/edited and it really doesn't need to be. It comes off as insincere and too crisp/clear to me. Lovely enough song though.

Up next is the "controversial" Not A Pop Song. It's a song that revels in it's ironies, whilst also taking (deserved) jabs at their former label.
I feel like it's not as controversial as a lot of people like to think it is and find it quite immature, personally. It's a cute pop song, but I think it relies far too much on the "I don't do what Simon says" line.
Meh. The controversy seems to work though as it's one of the most streamed on the album, I think.

Missing out on the top 10 is the laidback, smooth pop/r&b jam Nothing But My Feelings. I like this, although I don't love it. It's not anyone's particular favourite by the looks of it, but it's not disliked either.
I think it's just rather a bit "there" and I feel like it's one of those where people won't necessarily skip, but won't particularly go out of their way to listen to it.
It's cute & fun, but not essential.

Into the top 10 we go and we lose the 00's R&B-tinged pop, bop Rendezvous. A song that I consider to be the biggest grower on the album. I wasn't a huge fan of it at first,
but now I appreciate it a lot. It reminds me of 'Motivate' from their last album, except a lot more subtle and not as in your face.
A bop though and I'm kinda surprised it's only 10th...

This ones definately grown on me over time. I'd probably give it a point higher now.

09. GLOVES UP

Gloves Up is up next at #9 and it really baffles me as to how this is disliked as much as it is </3 . It's an almighty BOP. That chorus really soars and hits like a tonne of bricks.
The most "Little Mix" in it's sound and lyrical content, I think. Very empowering and about not giving up and putting up a fight for what you believe in.
It kind of is an inferior 'Salute', but it still slaps hard.

What! "Gloves Up" is Top 3 material. I understand some people might not like it as much, but ...lower than "Breathe" and "If You Want My Love"? Really??

Rendezvous is definitely a grower, it's actually not bad at all, Jesy's delivery on it is everyyyyything.

 

Gloves Up is fine, it needed to be longer and more impactful. they could've done a lot more, especially with a bridge added in and then a final explosive chorus.

'Rendezvous' is so underrated :cry: and I'm surprised that 'Gloves Up' didn't do a bit better than that!

Rendezvous deserved higher it’s such a bop ! Glad Gloves Up didn’t get any higher really not a fan of it .
