Yeah the slating of Utica's outfit was really bizarre, fair enough if they just didn't like it in the first place but how are they gonna switch from liking it to criticizing it just because of the explanation? It's just weird to me how basic or plain ugly outfits are fine they just kind of ignore it yet if they don't "get" or don't like an explanation suddenly a creative outfit that serves like that is bad? I'd personally rather an outfit that Utica clearly thought about that looks as good as that than say Rosé's black tuille or Elliott's hideously basic LBD.

I think this shows a problem with the show being that they know what they want, Drag Race is a certain area of drag and whilst that encompasses quite a lot (there's been fashion forward winners, paegant-y winners, camp/comedy queen winners), there's still a blind spot for more quirky queens at times. You can tell they're just not fond of Utica's type of drag, particularly the way she delivers it as it seems to be a recurring theme they aren't fond of her campy quirky facial expressions, but that's what sets her apart from other creative/fashion queens who serve conceptual looks.

Tbf I wasn;t mad on Utica's outfit or performance, but on a quality level overall it was a whole step up from Gottmik's.

I wish the show would start to learn that if you artificially inflate a queen's positions and hide their failings that does not a compelling character or narrative make.

I thought this episode was a damp squib. The main performance felt so lacklustre - although credit where credit is due, Tina was the best performer for me in that

I wasn’t wowed by any of the runway looks - and it did bug me that Utica was placed in the bottom 3 over Gottmik.

I feel like there is a lot of filler still left in this years line up - Elliott, Lala Ri and even the mean girls to a degree

Sooooo glad Kandy was in the bottom. I get why she won the lip sync but still a shame to see Tamisha go. I just wish Tamisha had more about her in the challenges - although would love to see her fully healed for an all stars series

In the next couple of episodes I really want to see Lala go and one of Kandy or Elliott

I think the issue is that they didn't get rid of anyone until week 4 - and therefore most of the filler would've been long gone by now - as it is...

Ugh Tamisha  one of my faves from the season, I can't stand Kandy which makes her elimination even worse, wtf was that judging.

i really hoped Tamisha might make top 4... she had a certain charm i havent seen in a queen in a long time.

I guess maybe a poise, dignity... i don't think i could imagine her in a brocolli costume.

I really wanted Tamisha to do well. She came across really well in general and loved seeing her put Kandy in her place.

Sadly I don’t think she ever wowed/could wow on the main stage

Nina Bo'nina's been getting heat rightfully for her disgusting transphobic comments to Gottmik on her review show, she has a history for it which I didn't know! For Gottmik's latest look which ofc was the literal little black dress, she said "of course Gottmik can wear this and still have curves" :/ She also made comments about Gotttmik's tuck "we know why" and then sang "Gottmik was born a girl" and there was screenshots of her fanbase on Twitch being huuuuuuugely transphobic speculating about Gottmik's genitals, supposedly incited by Nina singing that "jingle" and encouraging it.

I don't think I've ever been so disgusted by a Drag Race queen's comments, the smug conviction with which she makes them is really disgusting and I can't get the anger towards her out of my head. A LOT of queens are standing up to it and calling her out which is great to see!

Really disapoointed to see this from Nina :/ I really thought she was a talented individual in the scene but talent does not excuse transphobia.
Indeed awful, and maybe surprising, behaviour from Nina. I've always liked her on the show. It just shows that queer people themselves can be just as bad as non-queer people when it comes to these things. Glad to see a lot of the queens are speaking out.
Agreed those comments are shocking and quite surprising from a drag race contestant! Especially one from a relatively recent season with a trans contestant taking part! I wonder if she just kept her mouth shut for that. Perhaps there's more of an issue with FTM transitions in the community I'm not sure. I'm glad plenty of other queens are routing around Gottmik! It's interesting as the costume idea might come across as 'lazy' on first look but it shows that it's still quite a controversial topic and that Gottmik was right to push those boundaries for themselves and the Drag Race community. It was brave and braver than I initially thought thanks to my own ignorance so go Gottmik!

People who don't appreciate this look need to also think about whether they themselves would be brave enough to show their post-op body on television if they ever transitioned.

Although it's kind of a slippery slope argument to make and I'm digging my own grave here but Gottmik isn't even the fishiest of the cast if Nina wants to go there :|

She's not that curvy though? Like if there was a genuine argument to make between transitioned men still having curves being at an unfair advantage, Gottmik isn't the person to do this with! The comments were made just to be spiteful. There's no genuine threat there. Valentina looked very similar in my opinion!

Agreed, it's the smugness Nina says it with as well! She said that to be spiteful and spew bile, bottom line. Sadly members of our own community can often be the most hateful. But it's the same with the argument of trans woman in drag, or bio queens - who cares? To me if a bio queen or trans woman was ONLY there to be "fishy", their drag would be boring to me and because drag encopasses so much more, I am sure a bio or trans queen would not rely on that, and if they did - so what? It comes down to gatekeeping drag which is just the most stupid thing, why would you want to limit what is such a wide ranging art form?!

Gottmik's look is more about the idea and bravery behind it than what it looks like, to have a trans man on TV wearing that is incredible either way, and sometimes the concept or the thing that a look represents matters more than the actual visual. I mean if it's that or Tina Burner wearing orange again.....
