Oh wow ... Still think speak now will come first. Im guessing a similar pattern to 2021 when we had fearless then red later in the year but this time speak now and then 1989...

I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion but... I'm re-listening to this album now, without 'Shake It Off' and 'Bad Blood'... and it just flows so much better? Not only production wise but lyrically and thematically too.

I can listen to both SIO and BB but they're nowhere near the level of the rest of this album for me. So with them being from this era it kinda sours them a little for me. Not taking anything away from them coz they were monster hits for Taylor, but as a personal preference... they're pretty much the only skips on this album for me and I'm not missing them on this listen through.

Tbf the bad blood one isn't really unpopular as most think the remix vastly improves it , and I dunno if it's just me but most of the time the lead singles are the ones that seem most out of place on her albums , like ME!, SIO, WANGBT even AH as great as it is feels the most different on midnights

I couldn't agree more. 1989 is an absolute masterpiece aside from those two songs IMO, the pop bible!!!!! I don't think either of them are particularly BAD songs but in comparison to the rest of the album I think they're by far the weakest (and I'd maybe put WTNY in the same category too tbh).

I've never personally liked SIO, when it was first released I was so disappointed (especially because Red is my favourite Taylor album to this day) but then Blank Space blew me away and I was floored when I first listened to 1989 all the way through, but again Bad Blood was the one song I didn't really gel with. When she announced it as a single I was like ?????

I respect what they both did for her career because they were both huge moments but yeah, not for me ;)

I think the fact that the stolen version of this one is doing enough for top 10 suggests this could be huge when it's released, September, November, new years day or countless other rumored dates
I don't mind Shake It Off but I've always listened to 1989 by omitting Bad Blood, it's by far the weakest on there.
'Welcome to New York' is my skipper.

Blasphemy!

Now the theories are pointing to this being announced at her last show of the current leg of the tour... coz in the US the date of her last show will be 8/9 and 27th October was the original date of release for the album 9 years ago... it's a Friday this year...

So they're theorising that '1989 (Taylor's Version)' is next (her IG post on 4th July was polaroids... so will Selena be on a Vault Track?). Will be announced on 8/9 (9th August) with a 27th October release date.

As usual these are only theories and must must MUST come with a HUGE bag of salt!

I love how they work out these theories. We know 'some' land. For sure this will come next - but will it be in quarter 4? Makes sense eek
i kinda hope we get rep first, getting 1989 in autumn/winter will feel so... wrong. its such a summer album!

I am fully invested in the theory she's going to announce this at one of her LA dates even though it's probably likely everyone is clowning again lmao

As well as 8/9 some people are also theorising it could be announced on 8/3 as in the Midnights teasers videos she held the phone upside down for Anti-Hero and Vigilante Shit (track 3 and 8). Yes, swifties really do analyse everything

Also in 'When Emma Falls In Love' she has the lyric "She's so New York when she's in LA"...

These theorists just never rest! LMAO

I can't see her releasing another TV edition after Speak Now so soon. It would be an overkill.
Would be such a taylor move to drop Reputation when everyone expecting 1989

Maybe she'll drop them both at the same time. I'd that happened, I'd have to take sick leave so I cuos ensure enough listening time.
