Finishing in sixth place - and missing out on a shot to advance into the top 5 by one vote! - is the Queen of Christmas Mariah Carey with her 2005 mega-smash 'We Belong Together'. The song was released as the second single to Mariah's triumphant comeback album The Emancipation Of Mimi and reached #2, becoming her highest charting single since her 2000 Westlife collaboration 'Against All Odds'. That collaboration aside, it was Mariah's highest charting position on the UK Singles Chart in 11 years! The video stars Wentworth Miller and acts as a sequel to the 'It's Like That' visual. In the US the song became a monster hit, earning Mariah her 16th number one and staying at the summit for a massive 14 weeks. :drama: Unfortunately, its success doesn't extend to this forum. In my opinion it is one of Mariah's very best songs. The melodramatic final minute of the song is EVERYTHING.

How did that do so badly!

I like Put Your Hands Up too so at least that held on to make the top 5.

But really Girlfriend is where we should be directing our votes.

Still going with Fedde. Mariah should have been at least top 5

I'm impressed by Shut Up's performance so far. BEP have had 4 songs feature so far in these survivors and their highest position is 3rd place with Where Is The Love while all three of their 2009 #1s failed to make the top 5. I wonder if Shut Up will be their highest finisher yet. :o
Going for Shut Up in this round, the other four are all pretty good.
