Now that the line-up has been unveiled, we can begin the AF Idol journey free of any expectations - we have the last place on lock and nothing to lose so LET'S DO THIS! February 22, 20214 yr I'd like to request 'Final Form' to be sent at some point because more people need to be exposed to the majesty of that song Can't really go wrong with nearly anything in their discog though x (at least what I've heard, I kind of tuned out of paying attention to them during the 'A Fever Dream' era oops but their other 4 albums are all excellent at least). I think 'Cough Cough' and 'Distant Past' are both essentials for sure (maybe one of them in this round and the other in the final round? idk)
February 23, 20214 yr Requesting 'Spring / Sun / Winter / Dread' especially outside of the obvious hits, I think I'd call that my favourite of theirs, defo either 'Cough Cough', 'Distant Past' or 'No Reptiles' to kick things off though. I'm most familiar with the Get To Heaven era so anything outside of that for discovery purposes would be cool.

First or Last Single From Any Era Suffragette Suffragette Final Form Don't Try Distant Past [saved for later] No Reptiles [saved for later?] Can't Do Night Of The Long Knives In Birdsong Violent Sun Think this is a good chance for one the Re-Animator singles! (Violent Sun is so good :heart:) also Night Of The Long Knives is one of the highlights off AFD if we really want to play risky there's Suffragette or Final Form *.* (there is a Man Alive track definitely lined up for a future round) :thinking:
February 27, 20214 yr Unless I am being dumb wouldn't the options from 'Man Alive' be 'Suffragette Suffragette' and then just one of the two between 'Schoolin'' and 'Final Form'? (A bit unclear on whether 'Final Form' counts as a single or not, I know it has a music video but the Fountain of Knowledge doesn't list it as a single :thinking:) This list contains so many of my favourite songs from them ('Schoolin'', 'Don't Try', 'In Birdsong' and 'Violent Sun' were all #1s in my personal chart) - I think I'd go with 'Violent Sun' if you think this would be a good round for the 'RE-ANIMATOR' era :jump: (although if 'Final Form' counts then a big part of my soul wants to punt on that as per my previous post)

February 27, 20214 yr Oh yeah that does sound very much like it should be considered a single - looks like Wikipedia are just dumdums then x (I see that 'Photoshop Handsome' and 'MY KZ, UR BF' were also re-released after 'Schoolin'' came out to further complicate that lol - the chronology of this era is a little muddy in my mind as I don't remember if I heard those two songs before or after the re-releases oops)
