That's higher for Ben Howard than I had feared. Looking pretty safe for #1 this week then.

I'd imagine Bieber will be the main challenger if his streaming holds up well.

Thanks! The links weren’t working for me for whatever reason. Last week Britney was at #88 on the midweeks and then finished at #64 on Friday so hopefully she spends another week in the top 75
I’d like to see Boney M return to the top 40 first time in over 40 years

Or since 2018 when Mary's Boy Child / Oh My Lord re-entered :basil:

I think the race for the #1 album will be a lot closer than it looks right now, Ben sold less than 500 copies yesterday while Justin sold almost 2,000 so while I still think Ben will be #1 (and he'll surely whip out the price reductions + cassettes x), I think Justin's week 2 figure will be very reasonable and run Ben a lot closer than you'd think right now, particularly with missing streaming added in.

Hopefully Justin can nab the #1 next week!

Lil Nas on for a Top 10 debut this week, loving this more with every listen, would love this to be the next #1. Third week for Wellerman looks pretty secure, I still love it but i'm hoping this it's last week at the top. Hopefully ATB can finally make the Top 10 this week as well.

wow amazing for Ben Howard, he's almost beaten the total 1st week sales of his last album (13k)

it's really hard to predict how albums are gonna perform, some artists cannot even do half of their last album (KOL),

while others improve on their last albums despite the album market crash

wow great sales for Ben!

Wellerman suspiciously far ahead again.. can Amazon have their streaming contributions revoked please?

Justin coming for the chart double next week?

They’ve already started - all the main indie stores (Banquet, Crash, Assai etc.,) have had a batch of signed vinyl today, and like you say those cassette bundles will come in handy

His album chart run will be pretty unique too 4-1-4-1

:frankie:

They've even got a named 'chart bundle'! - they have a bigger fanbase than Sports Team who achieved around 12k. So I can see them getting around there with a push.

I don’t count re-entries

Great start for Ben being basically on total for beating his last albums sales already, hope he can get to 16-18k sales by Friday and see of Justin’s streaming heavy sales. It’s so funny with sales being so small that there’s always so many new entries in the top 10 on the Monday update.

Can see Ella/Tom and Lil Nas X being top 10 on Friday!

Becky Hill at #42 :nocheer:

Guess it’s a decent start - just hope that it manages to climb and stick around for a bit.

Pretty good sales there for Ben Howard, should be on track to beat the opening of his last album. Hope he should be safe for a week at #1 (before the inevitable crash out of the top 20 next week naturally) and already rooting for his next album to chart at #4 to keep the pattern going of course xx

I had no idea there was a new Floating Points album out this week! Though obviously looks like it's an orchestral side project rather than the proper follow-up to 'Crush' - I'll still make sure to check it out anyway.
