Hi all

 

Here is my quiz for this week - I know it’s not long since the last NMTB quiz but this is the first time I’ve hosted anything so I wanted to stick to a tried and tested format. :music:

 

There are 20 clips, all mashed together, for you to identify. Please PM me your answers, listing the artist and title for each of Numbers 1 to 20.

 

All the songs are Top 40 hits and I think the majority are well known. Most are from this century, but all six decades from the 1970s to the 2020s are represented.

 

There is also a connecting theme between 19 of the 20 answers. Please identify this connection, and the red herring.

 

Also please guess which will be the most and the least correctly identified clips. You can give me a number from 1 to 20 for this even if you don’t know it yourself.

Obviously no Shazam-ing, but otherwise use of internet, for example to look for songs that might fit the theme, is fine.

 

Here are the clips. Apologies that the the quality is not brilliant - my technology is slightly limited.

2 points for each artist (please do include all OCC credits)

2 points for each title

Bonuses:

1) What is the theme connecting the clips? (5)

2) Which clip is the red herring? (5)

3) Which will be the most correctly answered clip? (5)

4) Which will be the least correctly answered clip? (5)

Just giving this a bump - think it’s a very doable quiz so give it a go! :)

It’s not a complicated connection but I guess it does need you to recognise a fair few in the first place!

First half went pretty well. Second half terribly.

Deadline’s officially at the end of today but I’ll leave it until tomorrow 5pm or so and finalise the results after work. I guess it’s not the end of the world if there are fewer participants than usual but it would be nice to have some more.

 

If you’re on the leaderboard I may spam you with a personal reminder. <_<

Entered. Put an answer for most of them... but there's only so many times you can sit there listening to them over and again. You either know or you don't.

Sure - the more the merrier. And some participants have only answered a few so don’t worry about that! <_<
