I loved Jemini's Cry Baby. It sounds so good on CD, but live on stage it didn't, sadly.

Easily Gina G ooh ahh just a little bit,

I liked a good few of the UK entries over the years, maybe not enough to win but enough to do better than they, Frances Ruffelle def deserved better and for me so did Nicki French, Daz Sampson and Scooch.

My guilty pleasure is Eurovision 1977, there are so many great songs from that year. I wasn't a fan of 'Rock Bottom' initially, but it has grown on me. Thought it was worth a mention.

Not a fan of UK in the eurovision post 1997, but I still play 'My Last Breat' from last year, too bad it didn't get a chance.

Yes, Rock Bottom has grown on me recently too, quite catchy, but what a title to enter with.... :o

UK entries in my all-time top 100 Eurovision songs :

4. Samantha Janus - A Message To Your Heart (United Kingdom - 1991)

7. Sweet Dreams - I'm Never Giving Up (United Kingdom - 1983)

8. Kathy Kirby - I Belong (United Kingdom - 1965)

11. Mary Hopkin - Knock Knock (Who's There ?) (United Kingdom - 1970)

12. Lynsey De Paul and Mike Moran - Rock Bottom (United Kingdom - 1977)

14. Vikki Watson - Love Is (United Kingdom - 1985)

27. Co-Co - The Bad Old Days (United Kingdom - 1978)

28. Prima Donna - Love Enough For Two (United Kingdom - 1980)

30. Bucks Fizz - Making Your Mind Up (United Kingdom - 1981)

33. Brotherhood Of Man - Save Your Kisses For Me (United Kingdom - 1976)

34. Clodagh Rodgers - Jack In The Box (United Kingdom - 1971)

41. Patricia Bredin - All (United Kingdom - 1957)

46. Scooch - Flying The Flag (For You) (United Kingdom - 2007)

50. Bonnie Tyler - Believe In Me (United Kingdom - 2013)

53. New Seekers - Beg, Steal Or Borrow (United Kingdom - 1972)

56. Olivia Newton-John - Long Live Love (United Kingdom - 1974)

83. Jessica Garlick - Come Back (United Kingdom - 2002)

98. Gina G - Ooh Aah... Just A Little Bit (United Kingdom - 1996)

Easily Gina G. It’s iconic and such an 90s anthem. There’s not a soul whining grew up with that couldn’t sing the entire song now of you put that on.

Gina G, Javine, Daz Sampson, Blue & Molly are my 5

I also like:

Precious - Say It Again

Jade Ewen - It's My Time

Lucie Jones - I'll Never Give Up On You

I haven't LOVED the UK entry for many years now, but the following are among my all-time favourite Eurovision entries: Gina G, Precious, Daz Sampson, Scooch, Jade Ewen, Blue and Molly. ALL of these deserved better, apart from Jade who probably did better than expected if anything.

And I understand Scooch's flop, but I love the song

Sonia was great too and she gave it everything back in 93, as they are mentioned Precious were fairly good and Jade did brilliant, Blue was also quiet good and i do like the chorus of Bonnie Tylers entry.
One Step Further - Bardo - 1982

I much prefer this to Bucks Fizz Making Your Mind Up actually. The Gina G entry is great too as others on here have said.

Samantha Janus - A Message to Your Heart - A great track indeed

Frances Ruffelle - Lonely Symphony (We Will Be Free)

Gina G - Ooh Aah... Just a Little Bit

Blue - I Can

I was quite a UK stan in the early 2000s, absolutely LOVED the string of Nicki French-Lindsay-Jessica Garlick-Jemini, and am still fond of all of those entries now.

Imaani and Gina G are probably my ultimate favourite non-winning UK entries though. Also got a lot of love for Vikki's Love Is from 85.

While I liked a fair few of our recent entries at the time of the contest, none of them have particularly stuck with me as favourites.

Unironically Electro Velvet (Blue was a bop too). I'm not really too familiar with our entries pre-2006 or so so I probably missed all of the good ones x
