Awful like, I rewinded it to see if it was a clash of heads but just fainted as the ball came to him
This is distressing, they should have cut back to the studio.
I really hope Christian Eriksen pulls through, this is such a terrible thing that has happened. It's bringing back memories of Fabrice Muamba and Marc-Viven Foe :(
f*** that was really umcomfortable, the cameraman lost control and the close ups of Eriksen and his wife were horrendous. It was bad enough just seeing what had happened. I don't remember ever seeing the Muamba incident live, but that was so umcomfortable. Pearce/Keown on the commentary were put in a really awkward position too. Really hope Eriksen pulls through, that did not look good at all.
Hopefully it's not a cardiac arrest that he had but rather something less severe like heatstroke. He's only 29!
Euros have tweeted that he has been stablished and taken to hospital - emergecy crisis meeting is taking place between Finland and Denmark with an update at 18:45pm.
The people who say football is just "kicking a ball around for 90 minutes" have no clue what they're going on about. Incidents like this really hammer home how much of a physical toil it can take on your body.
I felt so choked throughout that - very upsetting and uncomfortable to watch. I can't quite believe they stayed with the pictures so long. Praying for Eriksen to pull through 🙏🏽
Is there a chance this could have an effect on the whole tournament? So encouraging that he’s stable in hospital!

Possibly for his teammates and people who know him. Be interested to see what the causes was- looks like it may have been cardiac arrest. Some great quick thinking from everyone involved, the referee Anthony Taylor did a fantastic job and recongised the severity straight away.

The feed should have cut away sooner, this was the feed from UEFA.

I thought it was really insensitive showing his wife. While the BBC had no control over the pictures, they should probably have gone back to the studio (or just ended the broadcast) sooner.

The camera zooming in on Eriksen through the gaps in the human wall the Danish players made was also very insensitive and distasteful.
