Completing our bottom 3 is standalone single 'Bounce Back' from 2019. This is their lowest charting top 10 hit with a #10 scrape peak and it had quite a short shelf life. The girls went all out with promo and even released vinyl variants but it just didn't click with the public in the way that was hoped. That sentiment extends to BuzzJack as it's the lowest placing song here that isn't a straight cover. However, it does still draw inspiration from elsewhere by interpolating late-80s classic 'Back To Life' by Soul II Soul. It was flipped on its head with none other than bounce production.

I think the bounce production on 'Bounce Back' is really cool but would've preferred an original chorus. The video is amazing at least!

 

Switching to 'Shout Out to My Ex' now after re-listening to all of their singles. I remember really enjoying it at first, especially with the hysteria around its X Factor performance, but it tired on me quickly and hasn't held up too well 5 years later, while I was enjoying 'Black Magic' more - so that is once again spared :kink:

Sticking with Black Magic in this round.

Confetti for me is one of their weakest singles. I like the added production and Saweetie's verse but it just doesn't have much of a chorus and I can't say I really liked the video that much.

This is the first round I voted in - I voted Wings. I like when they perform it live and I appreciate it as their first proper single, but I don't really seek it out to listen to...

One thing I’ve noticed about Bounce Back actually American reactors I’ve seen react to it on YouTube LOVED it a lot . I think it honestly could have been the single that made them break out over there if there American label wasn’t so trash .

I'm going to go with Wings! I listened to Salute again for the first time in ages and remembered how good it is.
