I’d say Ed’s got it in the bag this week.

If his iTunes downloads were slowing I’d say Olivia could have a chance but he’s still 90% + ahead of her on there, plus the 2 CD singles.

I think Ed will get it this week but it'll most likely be a one week #1 and largely forgotten in terms of #1 singles this year.
It’s still going to a great deal under 100k - considering Shape of You registered 227k chart sales first week, it’s a huge comedown
6k seems possible for Olivia to overtake, but I'm pretty sure Ed will think of something during the week to help ensure he gets it.

Ed's been reduced to 59p on iTunes :)

and moved up to track #1 on Hot Hits :)

his label really knows how to play the game and they have all the resources too

I expect that gap will only increase, Ed won't settle for anything less than first place

(not that it matters since he's gonna be #1 in a few weeks regardless lol)

Keep clutching at those straws.

Bad habits will be around for months and months, and in the top 10 sellers of the year.

I'd bet my money in a 1 week at #1 :D

There is a pretty strong chance it gets to (/ back to) #1 by default after 'good 4 u' goes to ACR as long as it holds up reasonably well, which it has done so far. Although ofc that's still a few weeks away so plenty of time for a stronger contender to emerge (or for Olivia to swerve ACR somehow), but at the moment it looks to be pretty far ahead of everything other than 'good 4 u'.

I mean tbf it was a 100% given that it'd have a significantly lower opening than 'Shape Of You' just because of how the market has changed since then, even the similarly dominant streaming smashes by Olivia this year only did a little under 120k in their peak weeks  ('I Don't Care' is a fairer comparison and that did 124k first week)

Keep clutching at those straws.

Okay.

Bad Habits is a really generic song that goes absolutely nowhere. I'm not an Ed fan in general but he's had some really great songs in the past. This just isn't one of them

So yes, it will be successful - but only because it's Ed and only because he's paid for every streaming and radio privelage possible. But no matter how big the promo you can't polish a turd to the point where its number 1 for 10 weeks. 2/3 at a push but come September this won't even be top 40 and you can @ me

It'll be very interesting to see how he holds up. 30k so far is very decent but a bit of the comedown to his usual numbers. I've seen a lot of his fans seem to have started noticing the transparency of his brand so a slight commercial decline was expected. Nothing too drastic though.

I think it's actually too early to call how he'll do post-week 1, and it's way too early to call if it'll be somewhat forgotten (for his standards) or one of the best selling singles of the year. Week 2's hold when he's not throwing quite as much at it will be the most interesting thing to track.

A 6k lead with streaming missing probably is very achievable for Olivia to overcome tbh, it will all depends on the gap on Spotify tomrorow tbh, if Olivia keeps a lead of 100k then I can see her overcoming Ed

Good to see Marshmello & Jonas Brothers and Tones and I top 40 today. :cheer:

Lumberjack & Sir Baudelaire can say goodbye to the top 40 tomorrow please.

Amazing sales for Heartbreak Anthem well up on last week.

Ed’s sales are pretty disappointing given he’s thrown everything at it this week. Video, physicals and all over radio.

Olivia could actually decrease the gap quite a bit by Friday.

I'm disappointed with Ed's sales so far, I was expecting much higher. Really happy to see Jack savoretti safe for number 1 album.

Hope IWBYS stays higher than Beggin for Måneskin, at least for this week anyway and hopefully stays top 5 too
Interesting to see that when ed releases anything its divide that gets the biggest knock on boost, weird when thats already sold the most
