Welcome to Ziadiz, Séyetana - the Imperial Racing Grounds - which play host to the 武道館 (Budokan) stadium just out of shot.

Here is the entry point for BJSC 136 - all entrants must pass through this area to enter the upcoming contest, unofficially dubbed the 夏天皇賞 - 'Summer Tennoushou - Empress's Prize'. No relation to the real-life Japanese horse races of Spring and Fall Tennoushou, don't know why you'd be thinking that.

Please enter using the Google Form linked here: https://forms.gle/ZGdVNYMXR1o11hRu9

Rules

1. All officially registered countries with the BJSC commission are eligible to enter, with the exception of Beaverdonia, Oslol and Taahino, who unfortunately did not submit their final paperwork last race and must therefore skip a contest.

2. In order to test their unbeaten streak and their chance at winning a Triple Crown, Farc will autoqualify for the final race. Should there be an even number of participants, their nearest rival, Aeroche , will join them.

3. The previous race has just concluded and, as is tradition, the horse girls artists who placed in medal positions are busy giving their victory concert. Therefore, Stockholm Noir, Chariot and sewerslvt are ineligible to be entered. Additionally, a country may not use the same horse girl artist they sent last time, as they need rest and sweets before they can enter the 'self-recycle' stage.

4. Please look at the Songs of the Buzzjack Song Contest link to ensure you are not entering a song that has been entered before.

5. All songs will be checked by the moderator team to ensure there is no unfair advantage, against the veto framework. Songs that pick up too many points or are otherwise deemed against the spirit of the contest and reach a majority of moderator votes to that effect will be vetoed. If this happens to you, you will be informed and allowed to resubmit.

6. Submissions are only accepted by the above Google form. All paperwork must be correct in order to enter, if not, you will be pestered.

7. As in the above image, confirmations will be accepted until Wednesday 7th July 23:59 BST. Plans to show all times in CST for banter purposes were nixed on the grounds of common sense. Semi-final lineups will be revealed on Thursday 8th and opened for voting shortly after.

(thanks all for your feedback in the green room, I'll stick to my original plan and aim to have the results shows starting around 5pm BST)

Further dates for your calendar:
Semi Final Voting - Thursday 8th July - Thursday 15th July
Semi Final Results - Friday 16th July - from 5pm
Final voting - Friday 16th July - Thursday 22nd July
Final results - Friday 23rd July - from 5pm

Currently relistening to all of my potentials and getting nowhere with deciding which one to send oops. The song that I thought I was leaning to the most I am suddenly not so sure about (not to say that I don't still want to send it but just not sure it's the one I want to send the most any more).

Ambient electronic instrumental vs. 3am nightclub jam vs. psychedelic/surf rock instrumental vs. glitch hop instrumental. What do.

Confirmed with a song that I think I first heard in March but has only really hit me HARDT in the last week or so after I came back to it.
Confirmed with a lovely soft ballad, the lyrics are just on point, with depth and meaning.

After relistening to all of my potentials like 4 times each I have confirmed now. Settled on the most obscure and maybe most niche of the 4 (not that any of them really jump out at me as wide appealing) because living dangerously. Psychedelic / surf rock it is xx

(with bonus superficial pandering to the hosts with the artist name)

Hmm, what do I go for?

A lovely little pop song not on Spotify?

Something delightfully silly?

Some 90s guitars?

A nine-minute epic?

A sub-three-minute ditty?

Or none of the above?

Ok so which one of you had the NERVE to snatch my entry up before me
