The septet—composed of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—co-writes and co-produces much of their own output. Originally a hip hop group, their musical style has evolved to include a wide range of genres. Their lyrics, often focused on personal and social commentary, touch on the themes of mental health, troubles of school-age youth, loss, the journey towards loving oneself, and individualism. Their work features references to literature and psychological concepts and includes an alternative universe storyline. The group has released several albums and performed on several world tours. After debuting in 2013 with their single album 2 Cool 4 Skool, BTS released their first Korean-language studio album, Dark & Wild, and Japanese-language studio album, Wake Up, in 2014. The group's second Korean studio album, Wings (2016), was their first to sell one million copies in South Korea. By 2017, BTS crossed into the global music market, leading the Korean Wave into the United States and breaking numerous sales records. They became the first Korean group to receive a certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for their single "Mic Drop", as well as the first Korean act to top the US Billboard 200 chart with their studio album Love Yourself: Tear (2018). BTS also became the fastest group since The Beatles to earn four US number-one albums, doing so in less than two years. Love Yourself: Answer (2018) was the first Korean album certified platinum by the RIAA. In 2020, BTS became the first all-South Korean act to reach number one on the Billboard Global 200 and US Billboard Hot 100 with their single "Dynamite" and remix of "Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)" and, with the release of "Life Goes On", became the first group to have two number one debuts on the Hot 100. Having sold over 20 million albums on the Gaon Music Chart, BTS is the best-selling artist in South Korean history and holds the best-selling album in South Korea with Map of the Soul: 7. BTS was ranked at number 45 on Billboard's Top Touring Artists of the 2010s, the only non-English speaking act on the list. During their Love Yourself World Tour, BTS became the first Asian and first non-English speaking act to headline and sell out Wembley Stadium and broke the record for the single highest-grossing engagement in Rose Bowl Stadium history. Featured on Time's international cover as "Next Generation Leaders", BTS has also appeared in the magazine's lists of the 25 most influential people on the internet (2017–2019) and the 100 most influential people in the world (2019), where they were dubbed "Princes of Pop". Forbes Korea named BTS the most influential celebrities of Korea in 2018 and 2020, and BTS ranked 43rd in the Forbes Celebrity 100 (2019) as one of the world's top-earning celebrities. As of 2019, BTS is purportedly worth more than $4.65 billion to South Korea's economy each year, or 0.3 percent of the country's GDP. They attract one in every 13 foreign tourists that visited South Korea and were cited as one of the key acts in boosting global music sales to $19 billion in 2018. Following the establishment of their Love Myself anti-violence campaign in partnership with UNICEF, BTS addressed the United Nations 73rd and 75th General Assemblies and became the youngest ever recipients of the Order of Cultural Merit from the President of South Korea due to their contributions in spreading Korean culture and language. - Wikipedia Top 100 Chart History 2017 90 DNA -1- 2017 43 MIC Drop (feat. July 2, 20214 yr This Jonasu track is my favourite new entry, I'd never evne heard of thme before today. When he said Jonasu, I didn't hear fully and thought he was referring to Jonas Blue or a Jonas Bro.
July 2, 20214 yr The U.K. Army not quite as rabid as the U.S. one where it currently spends a fifth week at #1
July 2, 20214 yr How did they announce ‘ain’t shit’? I’m at work so I’m not listening in today "Ain't That" :magic:
July 2, 20214 yr Fair play to Tones. I feel like it's a lot easier for an artist to shake off the "one hit wonder" tag than it used to be!

July 2, 20214 yr I've never been a KPOP fan (apart from some PSY songs) but this BTS track is really good :D

July 2, 20214 yr 27 | | 1st week Aitch Learning Curve 1st single from forthcoming studio album Released: 24th June 2021 Label: Capitol Records UK Chart Statistics NE (08/07/2021) | 27 Sales: - Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio TBA Sales TBA Audio Streaming TBA Video Streaming Video MpuIKVn5rsU Biography Quickly becoming one of the U.K.'s biggest rappers, New Moston-born Aitch rocketed to fame in the late 2010s after the success of viral freestyle "Straight Rhymez." After featuring on prolific U.K .hits like "Keisha & Becky" and "Strike a Pose," the charismatic MC took his own place on the U.K. charts with the wildly-popular hit "Taste (Make It Shake)" and EP AitcH20. Born in New Moston, Manchester, British rapper Aitch (born Harrison Armstrong) began performing casually while he was still in school. After a series of freestyles drew attention from industry circles, the Manchester MC quickly signed to Northern Quarterz Entertainment, where he released 2017 debut EP On Your Marks. Combining effortless flows with tongue-in-cheek bars and a charismatic attitude, Aitch found his first major hit with 2018 freestyle "Straight Rhymez," which found an audience of millions on online streaming platforms. Capitalizing on this viral success, he shortly landed spots on Kenny Allstar's 1Extra radio residency and popular freestyle series Daily Duppy, winning a dedicated fanbase and earning co-signs from the likes of Skepta and Wiley. In 2019, Aitch turned from 'one to watch' to a key player in the UK scene: his appearance on Russ Splash's viral "Keisha & Becky Remix" landed him a spot at no. 7 on the U.K. charts, while "Strike a Pose" with Young T & Bugsey peaked at a similar 9th spot. Bolstered by this success, Aitch made his first solo chart appearance with 2019's "Taste (Make It Shake)," which soon hit the no. 2 spot on the UK singles chart. Ahead of the release of sophomore EP AitcH20, the rapper secured his biggest placement to date, featuring alongside Stormzy and Jaykae on the remix to Ed Sheeran's "Take Me Back to London." The EP, boosted only further by Sheeran's co-sign, landed at no. 3 on the UK albums chart, with features from MoStack and ZieZie, among others. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2019 73 On The Way Home (JayKae & Aitch feat. July 2, 20214 yr The instrumental of this is very 'Rain'! I feel like this would stand out a lot less to me without Aitch's accent
July 2, 20214 yr Aww I wish WILLOW had been played again! 'Black Magic' is a bit of a racket oops You must have developed a real aversion to songs called 'Black Magic' by now.
July 2, 20214 yr Tones would've easily had a second hit already if Never Seen The Rain got pushed here, not sure why it didn't anywho Fly Away is completely forgettable so FLUSH :magic:
July 2, 20214 yr The U.K. Army not quite as rabid as the U.S. one where it currently spends a fifth week at #1  I think they just have a broader appeal in the U.S. Their songs are usually McFly level frontloaded over here due to their fans buying every available copy in the first week and nobody else really giving a damn. Butter was the first one to stay a second week in the Top 10.

July 2, 20214 yr 26 | 24 | 44th week Dua Lipa featuring DaBaby Levitating 5th single from Future Nostalgia Released: 27th March 2020 / 13th August 2020 (Blessed Madonna remix) / 2nd October 2020 (DaBaby remix) Label: Dua Lipa Chart Statistics NE (20/08/2020) | 39-71-72-77-93-x RE (15/10/2020) | 30-22-13-14-13-10-10-5-7-20-23-73-68-5-9-11-12-15-34-32-37-38-43-39-36-36-34-38-32-28-24-28-27-23-18-24-21-24-26 Sales: 1,000k+ Certification: Platinum Status: Accelerated Chart Ratio 02 Sales 04 Audio Streaming 04 Video Streaming Video TUVcZfQe-Kw Biography There’s purpose in Dua Lipa’s euphoric pop. “For me, it’s about championing women and putting ourselves in the position of power,” the singer told Apple Music in 2020, ahead of the release of her second album, Future Nostalgia. “I have been inspired by the female alphas that have shown me that we can do it. And that we can wear the pants, you know? We need more of that in music.” Forcing the world to get a little more comfortable with female alphas has been a mission statement for Lipa (born in London to Kosovar Albanian parents in 1995) since her 2017 self-titled debut. It housed the triumphant breakup smash “New Rules”, the self-love anthem “IDGAF” and the assured “Hotter Than Hell”—songs which made it clear that this was no ingénue, but rather an outspoken, effortlessly cool face of pop’s future. Indeed, that status was cemented a year later when Lipa made history as the first female solo artist to receive five BRIT Award nominations. She won two and, in 2019, added two Grammys to her mantelpiece. Despite the success of her debut, Lipa wasn’t interested in recreating its hits. “People always say, ‘The second album is really scary,’ but for me, it’s more scary to go back into the studio and try to create something like ‘New Rules’ or ‘IDGAF’ over and over again,” she said. “I feel like I’d end up in a vicious cycle of trying to get somewhere but never being able to mature as an artist.” And so, to move forward, she pivoted to the past, drawing on disco and funk—and filtering it through her ahead-of-its-time pop—to arrive at Future Nostalgia. Decadent and every bit as empowering as those early hits, it brought Lipa her first Mercury Prize nod, multiple Grammy nominations and a rightful place in pop’s upper echelons. And with it, too, came Lipa’s new purpose. Released just as the world went into lockdown amid the coronavirus crisis, Future Nostalgia became an urgent tonic for tough times—danced to in living rooms across the world. Yet Lipa wasn’t done there: Five months later, she unveiled Club Future Nostalgia, a thrilling remixed version on which the singer teamed up with club queen The Blessed Madonna, and guests including Madonna, Missy Elliott, Gwen Stefani and Mark Ronson, to bring lockdown-fatigued listeners another dose of escapism. “I didn’t think I’d be putting albums out during a global pandemic,” added Lipa. “But it’s just about creating experiences for everyone at home. That’s the most important thing for me now.” All of this, of course, is only just the beginning. “I really feel like I’m finding my feet,” said Lipa. “I feel so proud of Future Nostalgia as a whole and the most confident and the most myself making it. But I’m already planning the next move.” - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Dua Lipa 2016 15 Hotter Than Hell -2- 2016 30 Blow Your Mind (Mwah) -3- 2016 10 No Lie (Sean Paul feat.
