Bad Habits and hopefully 2 Top 40 new entries from Abba :cheer:

If the Abba tracks make it into the midweeks they will get huge media coverage which should give them a further boost

I would love to loon out and say ABBA, but really given the timing of the releases they aren’t going to contend. Top 10 feels like the realistic goal for them I think. Ed will get it again.

Voted realistically and said Bad Habits again. Would love the insanity of it been ABBA but it just won’t happen, i’m still holding out hope for at least one of their tracks placing in the Top 10 though.

I don't think they can get much more media coverage for anything than they got for the launch last night.

They've completely ballsed up this if they wanted to be in the charts again.

Also think purely due to streaming Don't Hold Me Down will end up charting higher than I Still Have Faith in You in the long run.

Abba will have the added boost of physicals this week - Don’t Shut Me Down on CD single, and I Still Have Faith In You on 7” vinyl & CD, would be iconic to see them in the Top 10/20.

I’m not so sure they have, they are likely to hold position #1 and #2 on iTunes all week, they have been added to NMF today and have 3 physical singles released today - they of course have lost a chunk of streaming sales but I still think they will get hits out of both songs.

Lol how are Charli XCX and Tom Grennan even serious contenders? I guess Ed is most likely gonna stay at #1 but Drake could pull it off as the track has more commercial appeal than his last few singles IMO.
I just hope Abba can get top 10 that would be phenomenal. I'm not sure though looking at Madonna / Kylie / any other artist of that era of before's performances on the singles chart though.
depends on drakes numbers! huge that he’s #1 already on apple music

You're likely going to have a top 10 which is Ed Sheeran, 3 songs from kanye, 3 songs from Drake - so that only leaves 3 open spaces for 2 ABBA tracks to hone in.

I would love to see ABBA at #1 again. I think the Vinyl/CD sales of the songs will be quite high. Hopefully enough for top 10 at least. I'm not sure how big their iTunes sales will be - could do 10k or so maybe? I hope they surprise streaming-wise. They're quite high on Apple Music considering the Drake/Kanye albums and are off to a good start on amazon. Plus the video for "I Still Have Faith In You" is almost on 5 million views already (I assume a decent chunk of these are from the UK).
It also depends on when the physical singles ship because, if they've been ordered with the album, you had to select separate shipping otherwise the default delivery date is around the 5th November. But I imagine with the website crashing for hours last night they'll be happy enough, with the album order numbers.

Apparently ABBA plan to Release a Christmas Single, this Year. Christmas Themed I mean.

It is their 1st ever Christmas Song. 'Happy New Year' is only about 1 Day. So, they may well

have a shot at the UK, (and elsewhere), Christmas No.1 Single. I believe that the Christmas

Song is called 'Little Things'. It would also give a Sales 'boost' to their New Album.

And Abba never had a Christmas no.1, Christmas themed or otherwise. The closest they came was in 1979 when they reached no.2 with 'I have a dream' but were thwarted by Pink Floyd's 'Another Brick in the Wall'.
