This chart battle is actually gonna be so exciting!

I’d love Taylor to keep her streak of #1s! I really assumed that it was a case of ABBA vs Ed (I mean it still could be) but I’m starting to now feel one of the new entries could potentially do it!

i think it's going to be close now

I can see Little Mix or Taylor managing it espescially as both will discount and put more versions up, I'm sure Ed will be on around 32k and abba will be on around 40k

Yeah Fearless did 21k and another 5k in vinyl a few months later - so I really don’t see Red doing more than 30k in total.

Red felt like the arrival of superstar Taylor in the UK and it could get some Christmas gift purchases too I suppose, so I think 27-30k is a fair estimate for that.

I would imagine Rod, Little Mix and ABBA to all be somewhere aroud the same marker too next week.

I voted for Rod anyway, he's always an underestimated threat, but wouldn't be surprised at any of them doing it!

If Taylor manages it will Red break some sort of record as the original album also went to #1.

Then maybe she could have some sort of record of being a female to get two #1 albums two years in a row as well as we had folklore and evermore last year and then Fearless Taylor’s Version earlier in the year.

I’m so rooting for her now! I’m predicting Rod to debut highest from the new releases though but we’ll see how well ABBA hold in week 2! Exciting though hopefully the top 6 will all have good sales thats what I wanna see most high sales always please me in this climate!

red will get more sales with it being xmas period i guess

I think little mix will be close to abba, i really hope they manage it

I think team LM will be more prepared this time - they have the formats (I think about 15+), they will have promo and can respond with signed bundles and price cuts etc

Taylor's signed CDs might be a game changer

I thought she would mostly only care about the US market but with moving the release date and now the signed CDs she seems to be really gunning for another UK #1.

I will be very, VERY shocked if LM discount midweek! They didn't do it for their battle against Kylie last year, so I can't see them doing it this time around either :(

Now that it seems albums tend to have big opening weeks and then massively dropping off to stay consistent for the following weeks... I think Rod has a major spot at being #1. The entire top 5 could be 35k+?

01. Rod [55k]

02. ABBA [43k]

03. Little Mix [41k]

04. Taylor [40k]

05. Ed [38k]

Maybe?

what did rod open with last time?

'Your In My Heart' opened with 37,823 in December 2019. His last studio album 'Blood Red Roses' opened with 41,186 in October 2018.

Number 1 next week will either be Ed Sheeran or Abba but Sheeran’s sales have dropped far quicker than I expected this week. Highest new entry will be Taylor Swift. Kylie & Little Mix will be T10.

Taylor releasing UK Exclusive signed CDs and LM new signed bundles :cheeseblock: looks like both their teams are pushing for it!

I'd be happy if either of them got it tbh, I hope they're the highest two entries at least

Would love Little Mix to be Number 1, but very much doubt it.

Would be happy for Taylor to be Number 1 if Little Mix can't be.
