This part is blatantly false. Ed's albums have done roughly 71 million equivalent album sales in total, 25 has done roughly 28 million equivalent album sales in total. Even just talking about pure sales Eds albums have done around 36 million combined, while 25 has done around 23 million. Adele is a bigger albums artist than Ed without a doubt, but there's no need to twist the facts.

Ed sheeran is bigger than Adele though. Anw i would also expect a high first week sales from Adele but a similar decline the rest of the weeks similar to her single…

I was talking pure sales not album equivalent sales - especially as they are overly inflated in the US. One big single in the US can make your album platinum on release it's quite ridiculous. :lol:

 

Really? I thought he had only done ~20 million pure sales across his albums.

I know some comparison between them is natural when they are going head to head for #1 but I sense this is going to start going round in tedious circles soon. :kink:

84k is excellent by most standards, but to a glory hound like Ed it will be absolutely devastating.

These are APPALLING numbers for Ed. I’m genuinely shocked! I was expecting him to sell close to 300,000 for the entire week :/

"Appalling" is a gigantic overreaction, they're great numbers, but obviously far lower than expected for someone like Ed. They can be both good figures and an underperformance at the same time!
