October 31, 20214 yr How on earth is OG number 1? There must be data missing cos that cannot be accurate
October 31, 20214 yr Ed Sheeran is set for Official Chart domination this week following the release of his new album = (Equals), with three songs on course to land in the Official Singles Chart Top 10. The album’s latest single Overpass Graffiti is on track to debut at Number 1 this Friday (November 5), while former chart-toppers Shivers (2) and Bad Habits (5) are in the Top 5. Should it hold on, Ed could be celebrating his 12th UK Number 1 single, and third in 2021 alone. View Ed Sheeran’s Official Chart history here. Elsewhere in the Top 10, Adele’s Easy On Me drops to Number 3 after two weeks at the summit, and Becky Hill & Topic’s My Heart Goes (La Di Da) could climb into the Top 10, so far up one place to 10. Finally, Halloween is having an impact on the Official Singles Chart today, with two spooky classics currently in the Top 20: Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Jr, originally a Number 2 hit in 1984, and Bobby Boris Pickett’s Monster Mash, a Number 3 smash in 1973. October 31, 20214 yr How on earth is OG number 1? There must be data missing cos that cannot be accurate Weren't there physicals for it? But it should fall during the week - maybe 'Shivers' can get a 5th week at no.1
October 31, 20214 yr Adele flopping :cheeseblock: I'm not surprised at 'Overpass Graffiti' being #1 at the moment because it has CD sales but definitely wasn't expecting to see 'Shivers' ahead at this stage. I guess it was ahead of Adele combined on Amazon and not as far behind on Apple as we thought (plus it has quite a large lead on iTunes now for what it's worth I've just realised! though moreso today than yesterday so that won't be factored in yet)
October 31, 20214 yr as 90% of the times Ed is #1, it looks totally impossible looking at the data available :D
October 31, 20214 yr Adele looks like not doing as well as people were expecting. Easy on me just sounds like everything else she has done!
October 31, 20214 yr The OCC seem to be being pretty silent on how Ed's album is doing, bit odd. I prefer overpass graffiti to easy on me I have to say.
October 31, 20214 yr as 90% of the times Ed is #1, it looks totally impossible looking at the data available :D Maybe he gets more Premium streams. We never get breakdowns of those do we?

October 31, 20214 yr I expect Adele may reclaim the #1 as the week goes on and Ed's streams fall? Although in saying that "Shivers" has built up a decent lead on iTunes. I guess it'll come down to Spotify vs Apple Music/Amazon. OG will likely fall a bit. I wonder if any of Adele's casettes will be shipped this week. I think next week is more likely though.
October 31, 20214 yr I can’t see OG holding on, shivers is more likely to overtake it I’d have thought. It’ll be close between Adele and Ed I think, depending on how easy on me holds up streaming wise, she could claw it back yet. I don’t really know what people’s expectations were for Adele as she’s done very well imho.
October 31, 20214 yr Really can’t comprehend how OG is at #1 looking at the data available. The top 3 must be *very* close.
October 31, 20214 yr I’d rather have Ed’s new song at #1. I just hope OG can stay there on Friday why? Is this a no1 song material or just because it is ?
October 31, 20214 yr Mind you, Adele has always been more of albums artist in the UK despite having huge success with singles as well. I definitely think EOM has a chance of reclaiming the #1 position by the end of the week.
October 31, 20214 yr Really can’t comprehend how OG is at #1 looking at the data available. The top 3 must be *very* close. Do you have an idea of CD singles sales? There could be loads that can easily build up a lesd on day 1 before streaming takes out that advantage.
October 31, 20214 yr If all / most of the CD sales for 'Overpass Graffiti' are counted already then that could easily make up the gap for it to be #1 currently ('Shivers' did around 9k CD sales first week iirc), I'd think it's very unlikely to hold that position unless it picks up more on streaming over the week though.
