There was a hallowed time (pre-Hard Candy) when I ranked that as her worst song. Long gone are those days, but it’s so far below the level you would expect from the 2 names involved. The closest I can come to a compliment is that it (sort of) helped give us Hung Up.

January 6, 20223 yr 1) Spanish Eyes 2) Promise to Try 3) Till Death Do Us Part - 4) Act of Contrition 5) Love Song Top 3 tracks are fantastic and her best three album tracks up to this point. I've tried my hardest to like 'Love Song' but it is so limp and dreary, a real shame considering the two names involved. 'Act of Contrition' is obviously a bizarre track but I find it a nice moment of light relief to end the album on after some heavy topics.
