You can’t really compare because the signed cd’s sold out before the release was barely announced and were never restocked only had a few reappear from cancelled orders.

‘ Taylor‘ (An intern) has literally signed thousands upon thousands by the looks of it.

Barely announced? The LM ones were advertised via email to the fanbase, on social media and on one of the biggest collection pages on Instagram (Addiction To Vinyl). As always though LM (An intern) management and label always have an half arsed effort on signing for fans.

I would have thought that Taylor would have moved on further from yesterday’s update (just over 2,000 increase). But if some streaming is missing, this might account for that. Also I can see there being a big increase when signed CDs have been counted. Mine was put through this morning. It’s an exciting race to the top…

I wonder if three versions of All Too Well will end up charting this week!

ABBA selling 6.5k yesterday, TS doing 2.3k.

So she'll need 15-20k of the signed CDs to be #1 at the end of the tracking week.

Really exciting album chart this week, I know it will be short lived but I've really enjoyed the album releases and sales the last 2-3 weeks,, I wish it was like this more often.

Ah I miss the days of the Top 10 clearing 100k units in Christmas week!

Taylor only doing 2.3k in a day is surprising given how well she’s streaming, even if there were hardly any paid for purchases in that.

The added data today should be yesterday's sales and (broadly speaking) Sunday's streams. Streaming data is always lagging in the midweeks but it's still added every day so the daily increases are still generally accurate, it just means highly streamed albums increase more between Thursday and Friday than less streaming reliant albums do.

I think ABBA probably have the #1 now if Taylor is selling this little on a daily basis, unless she has enough signed CDs yet to be added to overcome ABBA's daily advantage for the rest of the week.

Thanks for the explanation. Can’t believe it’s only increased by that much then - really thought she was doing better than that streaming wise. I guess it all comes down to how many physical copies have been sold…

I don’t get why these artists don’t start playing Taylor at her own game. Just start releasing thousands of signed CD’s and singles, sell them at cost price, and see how she likes it.

I can’t really say Taylor is in the wrong because it’s in the rules, but very few artists resort to these stunts to the extent Taylor does on a consistent basis. She clearly has an advantage being a bigger artist and therefore having the power and budget to do this kind of stuff, which means other artists who can’t afford to do it suffer as a result.

You just hate her. Stop being annoying

ABBA holding up very well for the 2021 market!

Could remain in the Top 10 a good while longer, especially after Christmas when overall sales plummet.

You know when Little Mix and Taylor Swift release an album in regards to the discussion on here...

Is there anything against signed CD's being an option to get the #1 album?? Can someone explain if I'm missing something here?

Yup 18 pages by Tuesday 😂

I’m not sure why it’s such an issue this week when out of all the #1 albums so far in 2021 only 7 haven’t offered signed copies (Michael Buble, Noel Gallagher, Kayne, Drake, Foo Fighters, Coldplay & Abba) - it’s the norm rather than the exception, with some acts offering signed CDs or Cassettes for £5 on release week (I picked up a signed Inhaler vinyl for £8 when they were slashing prices for the #1).

No email yet about Taylor's cd being dispatched? She surely has this once they are added!

also let's not forget Lewis Capaldi who kept the #1 in albums for weeks and weeks

thanks to batches of signed Cds he kept finding in his attic, like 5K a week or something

You just hate her. Stop being annoying

This, to be honest.

Her store is really bad with sending out emails, but if you check the orders section on your account it should say 'processed'.

Not surprised Taylor selling so little yesterday. The album is a re-recording of a previous one which means casual buyers will be unlikely to get it. It's mainly fans buying. Even with the signed CDs and adding missing streaming data, I'm not sure she'll be able to outdo ABBA if they're doing 4k+ more than her everyday. Will be quite the battle for the top spot!
